Spring Continuing Education Class
Phlebotomy Training Program $1,499Phlebotomists are specialized clinical support
workers who collect blood from patients for laboratory testing. Phlebotomists work in hospitals, commercial laboratories, private physician offices, public health departments, clinics and blood banks. Certification: Students must complete 72 hours of classroom training in addition to 120 hours of clinical training at a clinical site to be determined by the Program Manager and Externship Coordinator. Once the student has completed both portions successfully, he/she will be eligible to sit for a national certification exam. A certification exam review class is also available for people who already perform phlebotomy or who have recently completed an eligible phlebotomy program. The course helps prepare you to take the ASCP Certification Exam. Completion of the class does not qualify the student to become a practicing phlebotomist.
