Father Martin’s Corner

GOSPEL REFLECTION: By the Resurrection of Jesus, we are renewed and restored back to God. We are a people, the sheep of His flock. Jesus is our Good Shepherd. Like a shepherd, He will gather the lambs in His arms and carry them close to His heart. And so, as sheep, we need to heed His voice. We need to know our Lord, go to closer to Him because He will lead us to the springs of life-giving water and wipes away our tears of sadness and grief. He invites us to have a deeper relationship with Him. As we celebrate Good Shepherd Sunday, coming out from the Priests' Retreat, we as priests, shepherds of the flock, are loved sinners and at the same time chosen and sent to bring the Mercy of God to His People. Like Jesus the Good Shepherd, we priests tend, feed and nourish the sheep and bring the strayed lamb to the Church of Christ. As a sheep, this is what we only need to do: "Pay attention! Be astonished! Tell about it!" (Mary Oliver) THANK YOU!: Congratulations to the _____ children who were baptized on April 9th. Please write the names of the children here. Thank you parents and godparents as you continue your Christian duties and responsibilities over your children and godchildren. Also, for remembering me and my brother priests in your prayers during our Retreat. UPDATE: The Youth (High School Students) meet on Fridays at 6:30pm. Let us support our youth by encouraging them to attend, learn, pray and have fun with their own peers. Festival 2016 Solicitation Letters are still available in the Office. Please give us names of businesses and send them the letter.

Do you like to sing? Have you ever thought about singing in the choir? The Saturday 5:30 pm and Sunday 9:00 am Masses Choir is looking for more members. Please call the office if interested.

Contarlo!" (Marí a Oliver) ¡GRACIAS!
