Saint Pio Comes to the Diocese of

Manchester

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of his death, the relics of Saint Pio of Pietrelcina, better known as Padre Pio, will be on display at St. Joseph Cathedral in Manchester on Monday, April

30th from 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. All are invited to come and venerate the official relics. Born in Pietrelcina, Italy on May 25th, 1887, during his lifetime Padre Pio was known as a mystic with miraculous powers of healing and knowledge who bore the stigmata. Pope St. John Paul II canonized him in 2002. A Mass in honor of St. Pio will be celebrated at 6:00 p.m. at the cathedral by Bishop Peter Libasci.

Pastor’s Notes

• The Sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated this Thursday, May 3rd at St. Rose of Lima Church at 7:00 p.m. with the Most Reverend Francis Christian celebrating. There will be only nine students confirmed this year since both Woodsville and Lincoln will not be joining us. My fear is that the church will be very empty. Won’t you please consider coming and supporting our confirmandi: Michael Andrews, Jenna Doucette, Aidan Hastings, Austin Hastings, Daniel Kubkowski, Aaron Laflamme, Jordan Laflamme, Christian O’Neil, and Raegan Porfido? If you do plan on attending, please consider bringing a baked dessert for the light reception that will follow in the parish hall.

• I received word this week that Bishop Peter Libasci has accepted our invitation to attend this year’s parish picnic on Sunday, August 19th.

Eucharistic Adoration

There will be no Eucharistic Adoration on Monday, April 30th since Fr. Mark will be leaving promptly after the 8:30 a.m. Mass to preside over a graveside service in Boscawen.

77 CLAY STREET, LITTLETON, NH 03561

Let Us Remember Our Sick in Prayer

Pray that they may find comfort and healing in Christ, especially: Jeanette Streeter, Don Pelletier, Alma Patricia Guardado, Bailey Culver, Tina Weeks, Christina Bogat (Names will be listed for

eight weeks. No name will be placed on the list without that individual’s permission.)

• Rel ig ious Ed classes have ended for this school year. Two students earned

Certificates of Perfect Attendance and each was awarded a $25.00 gift certificate to Chutter’s. Congratulations to Conner Craig and Levi Stewart!

• Registration forms for the next school year are available in the back rack at St. Rose of Lima Church and on the back bulletin board at Our Lady of the Snows Church as well as in the parish office. Please fill out the form on both sides, sign, place in an envelope marked ‘Religious Ed’ with a check or cash and drop into any weekend Mass collection basket. Pre-registration fee of $40.00 per family ends on June 30th. After that date, the fee will be $50.00 per family. Fees are waived for those families whose parents or grandparents volunteer to help out in the program.

• We wish to thank Don & Bev Pelletier who are retiring from the Religious Ed program after many years of valuable service to the children of our parish. Many thanks to all who volunteered as teachers and assistants which makes our program so successful. Also, a big thank you to Littleton High School principal Jennifer Carbonnneau and her staff for the cooperation while using their building.
