Father’s Day Spiritual Bouquet
of Masses
Remember your Dad, Grandfather, Godfather or others who have influenced your life this Father’s Day by enrol-ling them in a Spiritual Bouquet of Masses. Each day from June 21 through June 27 your intentions will be in-cluded in the live streamed Mass at 9:00am.
As you can’t pick up Father’s Day Intentions Envelopes” at church, we have set up two options to enroll your loved ones:
Send in a note including the names of each person you would like included in the Spiritual Bouquet and your check to St. Stephen Church, 75 Sanfordville Road, Warwick, NY 10990.
Via our website and upon entering Donate in the upper left corner, click on the Spiritual Bouquet tab. Please set the amount and list the names of the persons you would like to enroll in the comment section.
With either method, the donation amount is up to you.
The notes will be collected and comments printed and set on the altar during the Bouquet of Masses just as we have done with the envelopes used in previous years.

Congratulations
This weekend, Father's Day weekend, we celebrate the fifth anniversary of the ordination to the diaconate of Deacon Daniel Byrne. Deacon Dan has contributed greatly to parish life here as he ministers to the home-bound, conducts baptism preparation sessions, and preaches. We hope and pray for many years of fruitful ministry.
*******
Farewell
Deacon John Tomasicchio and his wife, Anne Boland, moved down to Charleston, South Carolina, almost a year ago. After much thought and consideration, they have decided to make Charleston their permanent home. Deacon John is seeking to transfer and "incardinate" as a deacon to that diocese. Deacon John was ordained a dea-con three years ago and worked with the altar servers, participated in baptism preparation and along with Anne, facilitated "Encourage" groups. Anne was also a Eucha-ristic Minister. We will miss them and wish them well in this new chapter.

Resumption of Mass
Starting Monday, June 22, we will once again open the 9:00 a.m. Mass for parishioners. Next weekend, June 27 and 28, we will also open Sunday Mass to parishioners at 5:00 p.m. Saturday and 9:00 and 11:30 on Sunday.
At this point, we are limited to the number of people in the church at that time. Parishioners will be asked to "register" and once we reach our "limit" of 135, sign-up will be closed for each Mass. Of course, all attending must wear a mask prior to entering the church, sanitize hands upon entering and be directed to a proper seat.
While other local parishes have resumed their Mass schedules on June 9 and 13/14, it was my decision to wait a further two weeks to resume a weekend and daily schedule. The primary reason was to at least wait two weeks after the protests over the events in Minneapolis to see if there would be a surge in Covid 19 cases once again as there was after Memorial Day. I fully realize the restrictions placed on us and all large group gather-ings, will be an inconvenience and annoyance to some but the safety and health of parishioners under my re-sponsibility is of primary concern at this time.
Some who are older may want to continue live streaming the Mass each day and on the weekend. Let's continue to be patient as we gradually and carefully resume parish activities.
To our St. Stephen’s Family: We sincerely appreciate your continued patience, prayers and kind encouragement during this gradual time of reopening.
Only days and times are listed below for the respec-tive liturgies. All other important information is listed on the website and should be read carefully so that you will be prepared before your visit.
Reservations will be required for Mass attendance! Daily Morning Mass: Monday thru Friday at 9 a.m.
Prayer Time: Monday thru Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Confessions: Saturdays from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Prayer for Healing of Coronavirus
Jesus Christ, you traveled through towns and villages “curing every disease and illness.” At your command, the sick were made well. Come to our aid now, in the midst of the global spread of the coronavirus, that we may experience your healing love. Heal those who are sick with the virus. May they regain their strength and health through quality medical care. Heal us from our fear, which prevents nations from working together and neighbors from helping one another. Heal us from our pride, which can make us claim invulnerability to a disease that knows no borders.
Jesus Christ, healer of all, stay by our side in this time of uncertainty and sorrow.
Be with those who have died from the virus. May they be at rest with you in your eternal peace. Be with the families of those who are sick or have died. As they worry and grieve, defend them from illness and despair. May they know your peace.
Be with the doctors, nurses, researchers and all medical professionals who seek to heal and help those affected and who put themselves at risk in the process. May they know your protection and peace.
Be with the leaders of all nations. Give them the foresight to act with charity and true concern for the well-being of the people they are meant to serve. Give them the wisdom to invest in long-term solutions that will help prepare for or prevent future outbreaks. May they know your peace, as they work together to achieve it on earth.
Whether we are home or abroad, surrounded by many people suffering from this illness or only a few, Jesus Christ, stay with us as we endure and mourn, persist and prepare. In place of our anxiety, give us your peace.
Jesus Christ, heal us.
For All Graduates
God holds for you an unknown future as His gift today;
you cannot see the longed-for goal, the windings of the way.
But you can take the “Yet-to Be”, and find a blessing there.
And, for His sake, out of the blessings, make your life more fair.
Then life shall grow more strong for work, more faithful to the light.
And you shall know God’s gift was beautiful,
God’s way was right.
Wedding Anniversary Masses
The celebration of the Anniversary Masses at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral
and here at St. Stephen’s Church
have been postponed!
Details will be posted as new plans are finalized.
To Jesus, through Mary
"When we appeal to the throne of grace we do so through Mary, honoring God by honoring His Mother, imitating Him by exalting her, touching the most responsive chord
in the Sacred Heart of Christ with the sweet name of Mary."
—St. Robert Bellarmine
“We must not imagine that we obscure the glory of the Son by the great praise we lavish on the mother; for the more she is honored, the greater is the glory of her Son.”
— St. Bernard What better way to honor Mary than by getting to know her better, coming closer to her, and then consecrating yourself to her. Thereby, through Mary, getting closer to her Son. The following books are a perfect way to do just that. Check them both out on Amazon and choose one to spend 33 days with Mary.

Our remaining summer festival dates have been cancelled due to the COVID pandemic. Following guidance to re-duce events with crowds, we believe this to be the best choice to protect the health of our parish and greater community.
This is truly a time when we're better safe than sorry.
Many of our local food truck partners are operating local-ly. These are small family-owned businesses and this is usually their busy season. With their partnership, we've raised significant funds over the last three years for SSSE School and organizations close to our parish communi-ty. Let's share kindness in return. Please support them as you can!
Next summer will be here before we know it, and, God willing, our 5th year will be better than ever! We’re looking forward to it already! Be well, everyone!

Warwick Area Migrant Committee Summer Program for Children
After consulting with our public health officials, we have de-cided to bring the Dulce Esperanza program to the camps where the families live. With the united efforts of our volun-teers and staff, we provide food, enrichment activities, reading sessions and writer’s club, and even the birthday celebration for the children in their own homes.
Teachers will bring books and materials/supplies (including arts & crafts) on twice-a-week home visits. Field trips will be held for small groups of under 10 children. Small groups of children will be brought to the school to participate in special projects. There will be a writer’s club and other academic en-richments activities. Food will be sent home each week to provide breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack.
In order to do this we need your support. Donations can be made by check, made out to Warwick Area Migrant Commit-tee and sent to PO Box 607, Goshen, NY 10924 or online at https://wafarmworkers.org/wamc-summer-enrichment-program/
