THE LEAGUE OF FRIENDS ARE
The Friends of St Thomas Health Centre are a group of volunteers who provide help and support to patients
covered by St Thomas and Exwick Practices.
Some people are not aware of our existence or what we do, so we thought it would be a good idea to let you know a little about what the group has and is still
accomplishing. As you will see from this newslette r and future ones, the League of Friends support patients and the surgery in so m any different ways. They give
their time and energy to help other people. They do such a brilliant job.
If you would like to become part of the team or wou ld like further information about the Friends, please do not hesitate to contac t me on Exeter 676669

MONDAY AFTERNOON SOCIAL GET TOGETHERS
Held at The Trefoil Lodge, Buddle Lane
P a g e 3
We are so pleased to say that the Monday afternoon Social Get Togethers have grown from strength to strength. Initially they were held on the first and fourth Monday of the month. We became aware that sometimes this was the only time that some patients got out of their homes and met other people.
With the financial support of the League of Friends and the help from the volunteers on the afternoons, the Social Get Togethers are now held EVERY MONDAY afternoon between 2.00pm to 4.00pm at The Trefoil Lodge in Buddle Lane (not Bank Holidays).
There is a small charge of £1 per person, which goes towards the cost of the hall, refreshments and activities. If you would like some more information about the afternoons, please contact me.
