Being generous and ready to share isn’t just a command for the rich, but it is for all. Hebrews 13:16 tells us: “And do not
neglect doing good and sharing, with such sacrifices God is
pleased.”
The first reading from the Book of Kings (1Kings 17:10-16 –
prophet Elijah and the widow of Zarephath) and the Gospel (Mark 12:38-44—the widow and her two coins) give us examples of generosity. When it comes to living and giving generously, let us remember two truths: 1. Generosity is a heart issue. 2. Generosity is a hand issue. Our a=tude (our heart) of giving must be rooted in love because God is love (1 John 4:16). He is also a giver. He sets the example of giving mo�vated by love. Whenever we give, we should remind ourselves that we are giving our gi? to the Lord himself. The widow in Mark

Ser generoso y dispuesto a compar�r no es solo un manda-miento para los ricos, sino para todos. Hebreros 13, 16 nos dice: “No se olviden ustedes de hacer el bien y de compar�r con otros lo que �enen; porque éstos son los sacrificios que agradan a Dios.” La primera lectura del libro de los Reyes (1 Reyes 17,

monedas) nos dan ejemplos de generosidad.
Cuando se trata de vivir y dar generosamente, recordemos dos verdades: 1. La generosidad es una cues�ón del corazón. 2. La generosidad es una cues�ón de mano. Nuestra ac�tud (nuestro corazón) de dar debe estar arraigada en el amor, porque Dios es amor (1 San Juan 4, 16).
Él es también un dador. Él nos pone el ejemplo de dar mo�vados por el amor. Cuando sea que damos, debemos recordar que estamos dando nuestro regalo al Señor mismo. La viuda en San Marcos

Prayer Group
Meets every Wednesday from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm in the Adoration Chapel. Through the intercession of our Blessed Mother our prayers may be heard.
Mission Team Updates: We want to thank you, our family of families, for your continued sup-port and prayers for this ministry. We returned safe & sound from the mission trip held October 23 to 31, 2015 where we served over 2500 persons providing medical care, medicines, eyeglasses, shoes for the children, some clothing for children and dentistry. The impact of this mission on the poor of El Salvador is great as is the impact on each of us attending the mission. The Holy Spirit was with us and gave us the strength and endurance to work in the rain and heat to provide compassionate care and to spread the Good News of Christ to all those we met on our journey.
