Jesus gives us guidance as to how we should be giving to the needy. “But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, Who sees what is done in secret, will reward you” (Matthew 6:3). When we do good works to be admired and to win the approval of other people, we are serving only ourselves and not God. Our rewards given to us by God’s grace may be received in this lifetime, or we may receive them only in the life to come in Heaven.

FALL CLEAN UP SAT., OCTOBER 15
8:00 — NOON RAIN DATE WILL BE SAT., OCTOBER 22
Join us on Saturday, October 15 from 8 am
until Noon for the church fall clean up. Many areas need attention to prepare the church property for the winter months just like our homes do. Please consider giving a few hours of you time for this very important task. The rain date will be Saturday, October 22 also from 8 am — noon.
FALL FESTIVAL & TRUNK OR TREAT Friday, October 21st
Join us on Fri., October 21st at 7:00 pm for our Fall Festival that is open to everyone. Kids dress in costumes, but nothing scary please! Bring your friends & neighbors. Sign up in the Narthex. Adults are needed to bring candy to hand out to the kids. You are welcome to wear a costume too (we wouldn’t recommend a clown costume) and decorate a spot to pass out your goodies. Decorating your area is optional. We will then meet in the gym for refreshments, crafts, games & music. This event is fun for all ages, and we encourage everyone to come and bring friends, neighbors and family for an evening of Christian fellowship. If you are unable to attend, but would like to donate candy for others to hand out, baskets are located in the narthex. Also, we need volunteers to help clean up at the end of the night. Many hands get the job done!
