PROJECT AIMS:
• Rapid response in case of fire outbreak in the border area (facilitate border crossing)

WHAT HAS BEEN DONE?
1. Seminar for fire-fighting managers from all three countries at the MoI training centre, Valbandon near Pula, 14 April to 17 April 2003.

The seminar was organized and executed by the personnel of the National protection and rescue Directorate, Fire Service, MoI of RoC

2. Wildfire fighting training for firemen from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro carried out at the Fire-fighting and Civil Protection School in Zagreb.
1st group between 15 and 22 June 2003 – 34 attendants
2nd group between 22 and 28 June 2003 – 34 attendants
Participants in the training:• 18 firemen from Republika Srpska• 17 firemen from Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina• 32 firemen from Montenegro

At the end of the training course, each trainee obtained
a Certificate for having successfully finished the
training.
The training was organized and performed by the personnel of
the National protection and Rescue Directorate, Fire Service,
MoI of RoC

3. Tenders were invited for the personal firemen equipment and the forest fire fighting equipment, and the supplier of the required equipment has been chosen

• The exercise was held on May 27th 2004 in Montenegro in the town of Budva and was entitled “Budva 2004” bearing the slogan “Together against Fire”.
• A total of 80 firefighters from three countries participated in the exercise with 10 fire trucks, 1 Bell 212 helicopter owned by the MoI of Montenegro and 2 Dromader firefighting planes.
• The exercise scenario dealt with a forest fire in inaccessible terrain near the town of Budva.

5. Develop and adopt procedures of notifying and calling of fire-fighting forces; and state border crossing
