Staff Performance Review Employee/Manager Guide Login to myHR Select the Performance Icon (Managers select the About Me icon and then Performance) On the Performance page, click on 2017 Staff Performance Review in the middle of the page (Managers will click on the My Manager Evaluations icon on the left side of the screen and then select the 2017 Staff Performance Review for the employee you are evaluating) On the left side of the page, there are four categories for you to fill out (Employees fill out self- evaluations and Managers evaluate their employees) For the Competency category, you will go through and select what applies (exceeds expectations, meets expectations, or needs improvement) and give reasoning as to why you chose that rating. You will do this for each of the four competencies: Communication, Mutual Respect, and Professionalism Continuous Development Contribution to Mission, Vision, and Values; Service for and with others Stewardship and Mindfulness Remember to save your responses for every competency For the Goals category, you will click through each specific goal and similarly to the competency category, you will record what rating you believe is appropriate for that goal (exceeds expectations, meets expectations, or needs improvement) and provide reasoning as to why you chose that rating You can also scroll down on each goal’s page to find the details of that goal and if necessary, you can edit the description/status of the goal Remember to save your responses for every goal For the Summary category, you will give an overall rating for your/your employee’s performance over the entire year (exceeds expectations, meets expectations, or needs improvement) and provide a detailed response as to why you have chosen that rating. Save your response when you are done. For the Questionnaire category, you are asked to select several coworkers to provide feedback on your performance for this year (Managers can also request feedback providers). First, you will click on Select Feedback Providers and then select Add Participants. You will then be prompted to choose to Add Peers, Add Matrix Managers, Add Direct Reports, Add Recent, or Search. You will be provided options to choose from in the first four categories or you can look for an employee in the Search window. Once you select someone, you will click the dropdown in the row with their name, select Contributor, and click the Add button. Then, notify your manager to send the request. (Managers, see Manager only guide for detailed instructions*) You can stop at any time while filling out the review, but make sure to click the Save button in the top right corner of the screen before navigating away. Once you are satisfied with your review, click the Submit button. This will notify your manager that you are finished with your self-evaluation and prompt him/her to begin your evaluation.

Staff Performance Review Employee/Manager Guide

➢ *Once the employee notifies you that they have selected Feedback Providers, review the list of employees and determine if they are adequate.

○ If you like an employee’s selection, you can approve the request by selecting Send Request under the Status column. You can construct a message to the provider as well.

○ If you would like to deny a selection, you can click the “X” located in the far right of that employee’s row to delete them from the list.

○ You can request providers as well (following the directions in the joint employee/manager guide).

➢ Once the employee, the feedback providers, and you have completed that employee’s performance review, navigate to the My Manager Evaluations page (see joint employee/manager guide for reference)

○ Click the Expand arrow to the left of the employee’s name. ○ Click the Begin button next to Share Review with Employee to send your evaluation to

the employee.
