Do you believe in angels?
Have you ever had a perfect stranger appear at just the right time, say or do just
the right thing and then never see them again? I think there are angels among us
because many people have touched my life in such a way that I was convinced they
were sent from above, whether they even realized it or not. It’s hard for me to be-
lieve that STAGE RIGHT is on the brink of our 5th season as the resident company
here at the Crighton. With every show we have faced challenges. Our greatest
challenge is finding people to help. Stuff is easy to make or buy but people are
hard to find. Theatre is hard work. Often during the preparations for a production
I have thought ‘how are we ever going to get this done?’ Then, someone will appear
and lend a hand. Someone may have to leave a production and suddenly someone
appears to take their place. This production has been especially gratifying for me
because the cast has so many folks new to STAGE RIGHT, new to the theatre, even
new to acting. We have had a ball rehearsing this hilarious yet heartwarming play.
I’m grateful to everyone involved in this production for showing up right when they
were needed. My ‘angels’ have worked hard to share this message with you this
Christmas: just like Joseph, Jules and Alfred, you too can be an angel to others.
Believe in angels and enjoy the show!

Cast and Crew BiographiesALEX ALLEN (Paul/Lieutenant) is a 19 year-old College student studying at Lone Star Montgomery Community College. Alex is a declared Drama Major and studies under the tutelage of Professor Timothy Campbell and Professor Courtney Young. Raised in Philadelphia, Alex was brought up on the wonders of Cinematography and aspires to be on the big screen following the footsteps of Jack Lemmon and James Stewart. Alex made his first stage appearance in 2008 in his middle school’s production of Sherlock Holmes as the part of Professor Moriarty after which he has tak-en a four year hiatus in which he returned to the stage in 2012 as Emil the Fifth in his senior year production of The Rivers and the Ravines. This will be Alex’s first non-academic play and he’s very excited to perform at the Crighton.
KAYLA FETTERHOFF (Marie Louise Ducotel) is enjoying the spot light in her theatrical debut. Even though this is her first production, Kayla has always wanted to perform on stage and looking forward to her dream coming true. Kayla is currently enrolled as a freshman at Lone Star College. Her major is History with a minor in Acting. Kayla is planning to become a high school teacher.
TA’CHERYL LEMON (Madame Parole) As a little girl Ta’Cheryl always enjoyed the spotlight but she never ventured onto a stage until high school. It was at Dekaney High School that she was given the oppor-tunity to be a part of many shows. Her favorite shows are Of Mice and Men, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. This is her first performance at the Crighton Theatre and she would like to thank her mother, her sister and all her family and friends for their support.
JIM MATTHEWS (Henri Trochard) is excited to make his Crighton Theatre debut. Past roles include: Reverend Billy Hightower (Batboy, the Musical), Chief Brown Bear (Little Mary Sunshine), Joe Stoddard (Our Town – EHS OnStage), Old Dracula (Bram Stoker’s Dracula), Howard Cunningham (Happy Days, the Musical), Howie Newsome (Our Town – Generations Theatre Company) and The Human Bullet (Upstage Theatre’s Festival of Comedy). By day, Jim is a Financial Advisor with UBS Financial Services in Houston. He wishes to say, “It is a real joy being a part of such a fun group.” He’s amazed at how from the humble be-ginnings as a sweet little blossoming crocus in Miss Teal’s second grade play he has grown into the thorny and universally despicable Henri Trochard. He also sends special thanks to his wife for her patience and understanding through the process of being part of a production so far from home.
DENNIS O’CONNOR (Joseph) is tickled pink to re-ignite his 32 year love affair with the Crighton stage after a 5 year hiatus in New York. He dedicates every smile, laugh and knee slap to his children Adam, Jo-nah, Denny and Emmy. Pelinor in Jeanne Brasher’s 1990 production of Camelot, Kris Kringle in Miracle on 34th Street, Harry in Stalag 17, and Arnold in The Boys Next Door are his favorite roles on the Crighton
stage. “I love to make the audience smile,” says Den-nis. “Please support the Crighton as your hometown theatre as well as the Crighton Theatre Foundation and STAGE RIGHT. It ends in Joy.”
WILLARD “WILL” RADCLIFFE (Felix Ducotel) is excited to be playing the role of Felix Ducotel, the shopkeeper. He has been a fan of community theatre since he was in college. He resumed his affection for the stage when he moved to the Conroe area several years ago. He has participated in several productions including The Carol Burnett Show, Harvey, Miracle On 34th Street, Scrooge, Annie Get Your Gun, A Christmas Carol and Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.
CHANDA RHOADES (Emilie Ducotel) Originally from Kansas, Chanda settled here in Conroe, Texas a few years ago. Her mom has encouraged her to get involved with the Crighton for years. Not long ago Chanda saw the STAGE RIGHT production of Cinder-ella at the Crighton Theatre and she was captivated! She saw an audition notice for this show while at the theatre and knew she wanted to get involved. Chanda feels very blessed to be involved with STAGE RIGHT. Bursting with animation as a child and now as an adult, she’s always dreamed of performing. And feels truly blessed to have been cast in this show. It has been an exciting experience to work with such a wonderful group of people. Chanda also loves getting involved in community theatre and giving back to her community. She hopes you love the show! “Shalom”.
TOM RICHARD (Jules) Tom was involved in theatre in college but took a hiatus from the stage for other pursuits. Last spring he was attacked by an incred-ible fever that led him back to the theatre to perform in The Carol Burnett Show. He’s scraped off the bar-nacles and is back in ship-shape condition and ready for launching. Tom would like to thank his daughters Miriam and Rosemary for their inspiration and his wife Cindy for, well.....just everything. He would also like to thank Kathie Edwards, of Westpark Communications, for her support and encouragement. Special thanks to Carolyn Wong and STAGE RIGHT crew, players, and audience. Tom says, “It was a good day today because I knew I would be spending tonight at the theatre with you. Still looking for world peace and not giving up.”
PHILLIP SKOBLICK (Alfred) a graduate of New Caney High School. He is a two time all-star UIL cast member and has been in Emperor’s New Clothes (Old Man), Her Senior Year (Customer), A Piece of My Heart (Male TV Announcer), Rumplestiltskin, and I Never Saw Another Butterfly (Honza Kosek). Phillip was last seen on the Crighton stage in The Music Man and worked backstage on The Carol Burnett Show. Phillip has studied at the Kim Terry Acting Studio and recently appeared in the TV movie Charlatan where he played a car thief.

Navasota Theatres. Marcia lives on Lake Conroe with her hus-band, Larry. They have three daughters, two son-in-laws and twin grandbabies.
NICK BARFIELD (Sound Engineer) currently resides right up the road, in Montgomery. He works a full time job as an electrical estimator and has decided to return back to school at night, after 10 years for his electrical en-gineering degree. He has been involved with the theater for the last four years.
JAMES BINGHAM (Technical Director) has been the Executive Director of The Crighton Theatre Foundation for the past 21 years. Jim has been involved with theatre for over 35 years in shows ranging from Aida to 1776. Welcome to the Crighton!
KATIE KELLY (Costumes) Since beginning her “ca-reer” in the theater, Katie has had many experiences and met a lot of wonderful people. The prior parts she has played were in comedies, The Music Man, the world pre-miere of Mama Won’t Fly, and The Carol Burnett Show. The Miracle Worker was her first drama and the first time she costumed a show. Katie has enjoyed all aspects of the theater, onstage and backstage, building sets and helping with costumes. She is looking forward to participating in more productions at this lovely theater.
PETER KELLY (Lights Engineer) lived and worked on Long Island, New York for over fifty years. While there, he took advantage of the Broadway theaters and also, fre-quently enjoyed community theater. Upon retiring to the Conroe, Texas area his wife Katie he became active in the Crighton Theatre. Peter appeared in the production of The Music Man along with Katie and has been a member of the stage crew of Mama Won’t Fly followed by running the lights for The Carol Burnett Show, Cinderella and The Miracle Worker. Being active in the theatre allows Peter & Katie to spend quality time together, doing something they both feel is productive and fun.
ROGER ORMISTON (Lighting Design) has been in-volved with theatre for over 35 years. He is currently in-volved with lighting design, setup and programming for both the Crighton and the Owen theaters.
CAROLYN CORSANO WONG (Director) is pleased to help bring this hysterical and heartwarming story to the Crighton stage. She was last seen on stage as the toolin’ Louise in Always…Patsy Cline and multiple roles in The Carol Burnett Show. Carolyn is the artistic director for STAGE RIGHT, a founder and board member. Her favor-ite roles are partner to her doggie Harley, mom to son Michael and wife to husband Steve.
STEVEN WONG (Stage Manager) started in theatre 39 years ago as a drapery “consultant” and was “convinced” to return onstage for The Music Man. He is generally seen behind the scenes as producer, lights engineer or stage manager. Steve is a founder of STAGE RIGHT and serves as the board’s treasurer. He gives his love to family – Carolyn, Michael, and Harley.
