Stages of filming

In order to start planning my first short film, I decided to look at the different stages of filming so I was certain that when filming I was efficient and included everything nessercary

Pre-Production

Storyboards drawings of the key events in the film, with added notes

Budget the amount of money available to spend on the film

Create the Script make sure all character has a purpose, create line s for the entire running of the films and a state all movements and direction.

Locations where all shots are going to be filmed

Shot Lists planning all shot in order for the entire film

Casting which actors and/ or actresses are playing which parts in the film

Conventions typical aspects that represent certain ideas to make the film

Risk Assessment creating a list of hazards and ways to over come them

Time plan- when we are going to make the film, how long to spend filming

Production (during the making of the film)

Travel getting to the places in whichthe film is set this may involve high cost.

Filming all of the shots from the shot lists with the correct actors/ actresses and in the right locations with the right direction

Sound Recording any diegeticsounds are to be recorded and rerecorded in a quite environment

Photos images for posters and magazine will be taken at any key moments of the film. However after shooting it would be wise to shoot photographs of characters out side the current set of the film

Post-Production

Editing pulling all shots together in chronological order and cutting down all shots to make a basic flowing film.

Effects adding in anything that could not be in the original shot

Non-diegetic sound sound that is not coming from the original shot, e.g a voice over.
