of Stamford. The lovely façade features the classic symmetry of the

period with sash windows set around a central door with gabled dormer

windows on the second floor. Inside the historic Grade II* Listed house

number of impressive fireplaces, whilst the elegant rooms have splendid

proportions with high ceilings and casement sash windows which flood

the space with natural light. Laid out over three floors, the house offers

substantial accommodation and combines a welcoming feel with its period

looks and more recent renovations have created a charming kitchen and

the self-contained adjoining Coach House. The pretty courtyard garden

is south facing and the property further benefits from a garage. With its

insight“It was in need of a full renovation when we bought it,” says Anneliese. “Everything from the roof to the floors, the

heating to the wiring had to either be repaired or replaced.”

Page 10: Stamford, Lincolnshire

“But due to its listed status everything had to be done properly,” continues Carl. “A lot of the oak had to be replaced, the stonework had to be repaired and everything was done by

specialist conservation builders.”
