The Ohio State University as excerpted by the NASPAA Competencies Task Force
Program Mission: “…to inspire and develop the next generation of leaders for public service. The program prepares students for careers in management and policy analysis in a wide variety of venues, including public entities at all levels of government and non-profit organizations. The curriculum’s fusion of theory and professional practice equips students with the knowledge, skills, and awareness of public values to be effective managers and analysts as they enter public service. Through its emphasis on the development of analytical, managerial, and communication skills, the program provides the foundation for students to assume leadership roles and successfully meet the future challenges of public service in democratic societies .”
