Article 1 The Standards are prescribed in accordance with the provisions of the second paragraph of Article 11 of the Act Governing Food Sanitation.

Article 2 Both the maximum residue limits referred in the Standards and the actually examined residues of pesticides are calculated on the basis of the weights of the produces in the forms on market.

The examination of pesticide residues shall include the pesticide itself and its metabolites. Article 3 The pesticide residues in foods except livestock, poultry and fishery products shall meet the Standards for the Pesticides Residue Limits in foods Table, as Appendix Table 1. Pesticides not listed in the Table, except for those import tolerances developed, shall not be detected. Article 4 Pesticides listed in the Appendix Table 2 are highly safe, it is not necessary to set the maximum residue limits and examine their residues. Article5 No residue shall be detected for the pesticides prohibited for use by the agriculture authority, unless other regulations apply. The names of such pesticides are listed in the Appendix Table 3. Article6 The classification of crops referred in the Standards for pesticide residue limits in foods Table are listed in the Appendix Table 4. Article7 The Standards shall be implemented from the date of promulgation.

3. The use of ETM, thiram or ferbam. Note 2: MRLs cover carbendazim residues occurring as a metabolic

product of benomyl or thiophanate-methyl, or from direct use of carbendazim.

Note3: The MRL of iminoctadine refers to the residues arising from use of iminoctadine, iminoctadine triacetate or iminoctadine tris(albesilate).

Note4: The MRLs refer to the sum of isomers: 1. MRLs for cypermethrin are established for the sum of cypermethrin and

alphacypermethrin. 2. MRLs for cyfluthrin are established for the sum of cyfluthrin and beta-

cyfluthrin. 3. MRLs for fenvalerate are established for the sum of fenvalerate and

esfenvalerate. 4. MRLs for metalaxyl are established for the sum of metalaxyl and

metalaxy-M. Note5:「*」means the limit of determination of the analytical method.

Where there is any amendment to the analytical method, the latest amendment shall prevail.

Note6: The combined residues of Dimethoate and Omethoate shall not exceed 0.5 ppm.

Note7: The MRL of phosphine refers to the residues arising from use of aluminium phosphide, magnesium phosphide or zinc phosphide, or from direct use of phosphine.
