Standing Up for Faith & Freedom: How To Advance Conservative Ideas at Catholic Schools What Students Are Saying About This One-Of-A-Kind Program “Being a young conservative on a liberal Catholic campus can feel defeating and alone at times, however, conferences like this one help us remember that we are not alone and that our message is worth fighting for and can win when we work and fight together.” “I hold my Catholic faith very dearly and to be able to learn how to defend my faith and freedom has been very special. Not only do I personally very much appreciate your help, my parents (who are Catholic conservatives) also wanted me to convey how thankful they are. I learned a lot and can’t wait until the next conference!” “As a conservative with strong faith tenets it can often be hard to maintain my values on a college campus. I chose my school based on its Catholic affiliation, but often find myself alone in my traditional beliefs. These past few days have not only provided insight into my bringing conservatism back to my campus, but the opportunity to network with students of similar beliefs.” “I am a Catholic conservative student who is passionate about spreading the values of both, so this conference was very helpful in allowing me the opportunity to hear from those who promote those values best. . . I am excited to incorporate the ideas of Rev. Sirico, the Ruses, and all of the speakers into my advocacy and daily dialogue.” “The entire experience was amazing and I know I will be able to implement what I have learned here into my daily life at Gonzaga University. These events are fundamental to preserving our conservative and Catholic ideologies on campus and I feel educated and empowered to lead activism to stand up for these core principles. Thank you for investing in us, and supplying our students with the means to combat the progressive left.”
