Merchant as well as Manufacturer Exporters, Service Providers, Export Oriented Units (EOUs) and Units located in Special Economic Zones (SEZs), Agri Export Zone (AEZ’s), Electronic Hardware Technology Parks (EHTPs) shall be eligible for applying for status as Star Export Houses.

Units in Small Scale Industry hand knotted or silk carpets, exporters exporting to countries in Latin America, units having ISO 9000 (series)/ ISO 14000 (series) and above status granted by agencies listed in Appendix-28A, exports of services and exports of agro products shall be entitled for double weight age of exports made for grant of Star Export House status.

Criterion for RecognitionThe eligibility criterion for

such recognition shall be on the basis of the FOB/value of export of goods and services, including software exports made directly, as well as on the basis of services rendered by the service provider during the preceding three licensing years or the preceding licensing year, at the option of the exporter.

Recognition for State CorporationsWith a view to encouraging participation of

State Governments and Union Territories in export promotion, one State corporation nominated by the respective State Government/Union Territory may be recognized as an Export House, even though the criterion for such recognition is not fulfilled by it.

Golden Status CertificateExporters who have attained Export House,

Trading House, Star Export Houses and Super Star Trading Houses status for three terms or more and continue to export shall be eligible for golden status certificate .

Validity PeriodApplication for renewal of status certificate

shall be required to be made within a period as prescribed in the Handbook (Vol.1). During the said period, the star export house shall be eligible to claim the usual facilities and benefits.
