At the end of the holiday season I always stock-up on gift

baskets for the next year, purchasing them for nearly 80-90%

off.

For this particular basket I included: Starbucks Holiday

Blend Coffee, Starbucks hot cocoa mix (also purchased at

Walmart for $5), two holiday themed coffee mugs (purchased

at Michael’s for $1.50 each), a few peppermint candy sticks

to make a peppermint mocha, hand dipped chocolate

marshmallows to stir into the coffee, a Starbucks gift card and

a Starbucks ornament.

I love the Holiday Blend Coffee; it might be my favorite

blend besides the espresso roast that Starbucks offers.

I just love the mild notes in this blend, especially when

just drinking by itself.

I decided to make a Coffee Lover’s Gift basket for a good friend and

I knew just what to put in it.

I needed some Starbucks Holiday blend coffee, some gingerbread

cookies and a coffee mug set. I also made her a Latte decorative

kitchen towel. The towel is very easy to make and makes a nice

addition to a gift basket.

While packing up the gift basket, I couldn’t help but brew myself a

cup of Starbucks Holiday blend. I already had some at home.

The Holiday Blend has a sweet and spicy taste and

would be paired perfectly with ginger, pumpkin,

cinnamon, nutmeg, orange, and cloves flavors.

Looking for a delicious treat to surprise a neighbor,

teacher, or friend this holiday season? Try

a delicious pairing of Starbucks Holiday Blend and

Walmart’s ‘The Bakery’ baked goods.

In a small tray, basket, or box add a package of Starbucks Holiday

Blend Coffee, with a re-usable travel mug, a gift box containing a

yummy treat such as The Bakery Gourmet Cinnamon Rolls, and

a napkin.

Wrap your cinnamon roll in a sheet of wax paper, place inside a gift

box and tie with baker’s twine. Add a hand-knit coffee cozy to the

travel mug for a more personal touch.

Everyone loves Starbucks and who wouldn’t enjoy

receiving a perfect pairing like this for Christmas?

I’m particularly fond of Starbucks Holiday Blend with its sweet, spicy,

herbal flavor and I know it pairs perfectly with ginger, cinnamon, and

nutmeg (to name a few flavors). And just as luck would have it, right

across from this display I was able to find some Gourmet Cinnamon

Rolls with Cream Cheese Icing at the Walmart bakery. I picked up two

bags of coffee and two boxes of the cinnamon rolls; one for home and

one for gifting. We headed for home to put our gift basket together.

I loaded the reusable basket with Starbucks Holiday Blend Coffee and

the Gourmet Cinnamon Rolls for a delicious pairing. I included a mug

for hot coffee and a cup for cold coffee, along

with a sweet little bangle bracelet. Then, to make

it pretty, I made my sparkly homemade bow and

quite a few 6 inch ribbon curls.

The aroma of the Holiday Blend as it is

brewing seems to have a calming effect on

me. I LOVE my coffee, and especially my

Starbucks. It’s so smooth, and you can really

taste the different spices.

I tasted a Walmart Bakery cinnamon

roll along with the coffee. Just

as when tasting wine, when you

focus, you can pick out the different

flavors. I love anything pumpkin with

the Holiday Blend, too.

Also, I made up a gift basket for one lucky

winner to receive at our New Year’s Eve party

with the Holiday Blend Coffee for a great gift!

This week I had some fun sharing three of my favorite things with

my daughter’s preschool teacher – coffee, sweets, and glitter!

I decided to use the Delicious Pairings selection from the display

and start with a coffee selection. I went to the coffee aisle of the

grocery area and found Starbucks Holiday Blend. The description

on the bag was very tempting. I’m sure my mornings would benefit

from Starbucks “hints of comfort and joy!” I then went to the bakery

and picked up amazing looking cinnamon rolls to go along with the

Holiday Blend Coffee.

I was happy the next morning when the coffee

and cinnamon roll paired so well together

in a delicious combination!

Then I left a gift bag with stationary, cinnamon rolls, and coffee in

Ms. April’s classroom which she much appreciated.

The Delicious Pairings display is amazingly helpful! It shows you how

to pair your favorite Starbucks coffee with the perfect pairing of a sweet

treat. Since each coffee has different notes and undertones, they’ll each

pair differently with specific flavors.

Since I was picking up some super looking cinnamon rolls to share with

mom for a little surprise brunch, I headed to the coffee aisle to pick up

the Starbucks Holiday Blend.

The complimentary notes for the Starbucks Holiday Blend Coffee are:

ginger, pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, orange, and cloves. Sounds

good already, right? Well, let me tell you ladies – paired with the cream

cheese, flaky & buttery pastry of the rolls, and the flavors in the cream

cheese – this was sooooo good!

I am an avid Starbucks drinker. On Black Friday, our Starbucks

won’t be open until pretty late after we start our shopping. So,

we decided to brew some Starbucks at home and take it with

us. Since I usually stop at the Starbucks Cafe each day, I didn’t

have any at the house so I headed out to the store.

I picked up the Breakfast Blend because it was a medium

strength coffee which I knew I would enjoy. Then I searched for

muffins to pair with my coffee. The mini blueberry muffins looked

like the perfect size.

The coffee had such a smooth taste and it was just

the right strength for me. It was perfect; and almost

as if my favorite barista had made it for me! I added

the blueberry muffin to the mix. DELICIOUS. The

blueberry flavor played off the little acidity that the

coffee gave off. It was like a party in my mouth!

We started our morning out right with

to Walmart to find the Starbucks and

muffins that we would need to prepare for

a weekend morning of intense shopping!

In the bakery section, I found the large

Starbucks Delicious Pairings sign.

Underneath, I found the Blonde Willow

Blend, the Medium House Blend and the

Dark Caffe Verona. And across the aisle

were the delicious looking Chocolate Chip

Muffins sold in a four pack.

The chocolate chip muffins and

coffee made a fantastic match! The

Starbucks Caffe Verona

and Chocolate Chip Muffins

were the perfect “pick-me-up”

combination for an early morning

Christmas shopping trip!

I headed out to WalMart to get my coffee and muffins. I’d

been told that the Starbucks Dark Italian Roast paired

well with Chocolate muffins.

After I brewed my coffee, I tasted it. The rich, dark flavors

are superb. Is it possible for a smooth liquid to still have

texture? I took another sip so that I could appreciate the

flavor.

Then I took a bite of the muffin. A couple of bites. The

dense, spongy cake speckled with chunks of chocolate.

Yum.

After tasting the muffin, I tasted

the coffee again. The flavor had

gotten richer. It was like I was

eating Tiramisu at a cafe in Italy.

I tasted all those notes. The

chocolate enhanced the coffee,

and the coffee responded.

Ready for Black Friday shopping with Delicious

Pairings from Starbucks and Walmart!

This year instead of trying to find a place to get coffee

at 3 am, we would make our own. I headed to Walmart

to shop my favorite brand, Starbucks! I was quickly

sidetracked by the bakery area. I grabbed the regular

Blueberry Muffins after looking over everything else.

It was perfect as I could get everything I needed in the

Bakery. The sign for Delicious Pairings helped me pick

the Medium Breakfast Blend.

The Blueberry muffin went really well

with the coffee. I could see why they

were paired as the flavors completely

complemented each other. I can’t wait for

Black Friday so my MIL, Sue, can try these

Delicious Pairings as well!

In order to have the energy to stay awake on Black Friday and

function that early in the morning I need to fuel up before I

head out.

As I waited for the coffee to finish brewing I went and grabbed

the container of muffins we purchased. They smelled fabulous.

Once the coffee was ready, one taste was all it took to put a

smile on my face. I loved that the first sip gave me the jolt I

needed and brightened the rest of my day. And the muffins

made a great pair!

One of the reasons I purchase Starbucks coffee in the grocery

stores, is that when I have an empty bag left over I can turn it in

at my local Starbucks and receive a FREE tall brewed coffee.

Yes, a free cup just for bringing in my empty bag!

I knew that I would have many sleepless nights without being able

to have contact with my son while he was gone for the first time on

a camping trip. The best solution to sleepless nights is Starbucks

coffee.

While I was shopping at Walmart, I noticed a display

in the bakery. It showed me the perfect bakery items

to pair with my favorite blend of coffee. I purchased

the decaffeinated blend Caffe Verona Starbucks

Coffee and the chocolate chip muffins that the display

suggested I pair together.

The coffee was delicious and flavorful. It was perfectly paired with

the chocolate chip muffins, bringing out the yummy flavors of the

chocolate in the muffins. The coffee calmed me, and helped me to

relax about the stress of my son leaving.

Did you know that particular coffees pair better with particular

flavors?

I did not. I have heard of pairing other foods and beverages,

but never imagined that pairings would also apply in the coffee

world. Thanks to Starbucks and a trip to my local Walmart, I had

a first run at the Delicious Pairings Starbucks has to offer.

When I got home, I was so excited to sit down and

enjoy a cup of the Starbucks Caffe Verona all by

myself. I took this time to really enjoy the rich dark

cup of coffee and experience how well it paired

with the Walmart Bakery chocolate chip muffin!

I was excited when the morning rolled around and my friends

arrived. I had the Caffe Verona brewing and the chocolate

chip muffins waiting. I cannot think of a better way to tackle

my holiday gift list than with a cup of amazing coffee and a

chocolate chip muffin, and friends.

With all this Christmas craziness I needed a break, so

I went to one of my favorite sections of Walmart, the

bakery and the Starbucks Coffee Delicious Pairings

stand. I grabbed a bag of Caffe Verona and set it next to

my chocolate chip muffins and headed for the cashier.

At home I made myself a pot of coffee to enjoy with one

of my yummy chocolate chip muffins.

The flavors really hit on my tongue–this

is important as different parts of your

tongue taste different things. The flavor

combination was, in a word, sensational. The

milk chocolate in the Chocolate chip muffin

blended with the Caffe Verona to create

an intoxicating and glorious flavor, and the

buttery flavor that prevailed in the muffin

added a creaminess that in turn created a

caramely/chocolaty sweetness with the Caffe

Verona and Chocolate mélange that is divine!

Needless to say, this shall be my once a week ritual to

help relieve all the stress from the holiday madness!

My first stop was the bakery…I needed a little sweetness in my life.

There were so many goodies but I thought some cinnamon rolls

sounded perfect for a cool December morning. I picked up an extra to

have my oldest son take to his teacher Monday morning.

While in the bakery I noticed the Starbucks Delicious

Pairings display…love me some Starbucks, but I don’t

buy coffee out often, I hadn’t really ever thought

about brewing their coffee at home.

The next morning bright and early I brewed my Starbucks while

listening to the hum of fans, then settled into a little retreat in the

dining room with my coffee and cinnamon rolls. The coffee was good.

Let me tell you. The coffee has notes of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg,

orange, ginger, and cloves and you really can taste all of those

flavors…it’s like pumpkin pie with a little spicy kick to it. Delicious. It

was even better with the cinnamon rolls, they complemented each

other perfectly. For a moment, just a moment, I could forget about the

craziness of life and relax.
