Pak Choi is related to the Western cabbage, and is of the same species as the common turnip. There are many variations in name and spelling. Also referred to as “bok choy” . The plants have smooth, dark green leaf blades forming a cluster reminiscent of mustard or celery. Seeds germinate between 7 - 14 days and plants reach maturity within 40 – 80 days.

HerbsSpearmintSpearmint (Mentha spicata) is grown for its aromatic and carminative oil, referred to as oil of spearmint. They can flourish in full sun to partly shade. Spearmint is best suited to loamy soils with plenty of organic material. The seeds germinate between 7 - 14 days and plants reach maturity within 12 - 14 weeks.

HerbsBorageBorage, (Borago officinalis), also known as a starflower, is an annual herb . It grows to a height of 60–100 cm and is hairy all over the stems and leaves. Flowers are blue, although pink flowers are sometimes observed. In milder climates, borage will bloom continuously for most of the year. Seeds germinate between 7 - 14 days and plants reach maturity within 14 weeks.

HerbsCatnipCatnip (Nepeta cataria), belongs to the mint family. Herbs belonging to the mint family have a distinctive taste and aroma, and catnip herb is no exception. Californian poppies have delightful single blooms, solitary on long stems with silky–textured petals. Poppies are a good choice for low-maintenance areas and will happily self-seed, appearing year after year. Poppies prefer sun and thrives in poor well-drained soil. Seeds germinate within 7 - 14 days and flowers within 14 - 18 weeks.

The colourful flowers close their petals at night and in cold, windy weather and open again as the sun touches them the following morning, although they may remain closed in cloudy weather. The fruit are slender capsules which splits in two to release numerous small black or brown seeds.

California poppy is the state flower of California and people use the part that grows above the ground for medicine, mainly because it contains chemicals that might cause relaxation and sleepiness.
