Ecclesiastes 3:1-4

1 To everything there is a season,

A time for every purpose under heaven:

2 A time to be born, And a time to die;

A time to plant, And a time to pluck what is planted;

3 A time to kill, And a time to heal;

A time to break down, And a time to build up;

4 A time to weep, And a time to laugh;

A time to mourn, And a time to dance;

1 Peter 5:6

Ephesians 2:10

Matthew 7:3–5

3 And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye,

but do not consider the plank in your own eye?

4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the

speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own

eye?

5 Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye,

and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from

your brother’s eye.

Acts 13:13

13 From Paphos, Paul and company put out to sea,

sailing on to Perga in Pamphylia. That's where John

called it quits and went back to Jerusalem.

36 Then after some days Paul said to Barnabas, "Let us now go back and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how

they are doing."

37 Now Barnabas was determined to take with them John called Mark.

38 But Paul insisted that they should not take with them the one who had departed from them in Pamphylia, and

had not gone with them to the work.

39 Then the contention became so sharp that they parted from one another. And so Barnabas took Mark and sailed

to Cyprus;

11 Only Luke is with me. Get Mark and bring him with you, for he is useful to me for ministry.

Acts 13:1–4

1 Now in the church that was at Antioch there were

certain prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon who

was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen who had

been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.

2 As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy

Spirit said, “Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for

the work to which I have called them.”

3 Then, having fasted and prayed, and laid hands on

them, they sent them away.

4 So, being sent out by the Holy Spirit, they went down to

Seleucia, and from there they sailed to Cyprus.

1 Timothy 1:12

12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has enabled

me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the

ministry

strength and made me able [for this], Christ Jesus our

Lord, because He has judged and counted me faithful

Ephesians 4:15-16

15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all

things into Him who is the head — Christ —

16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together

by what every joint supplies, according to the effective

working by which every part does its share, causes

growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.

Acts 15:22, 30-31

22 Then it pleased the apostles and elders, with the

to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas, namely, Judas who

was also named Barsabas, and Silas, leading men among

the brethren.

30 So when they were sent off, they came to Antioch; and

when they had gathered the multitude together, they

delivered the letter.

31 When they had read it, they rejoiced over its

encouragement.

Acts 15:32-34

32 Now Judas and Silas, themselves being prophets also,

exhorted and strengthened the brethren with many

words.

33 And after they had stayed there for a time, they were

sent back with greetings from the brethren to the

apostles.

34 However, it seemed good to Silas to remain there.

Acts 15:39-41

39 Then the contention became so sharp that they parted

from one another. And so Barnabas took Mark and sailed

to Cyprus;

40 but Paul chose Silas and departed, being commended

by the brethren to the grace of God.

41 And he went through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening

the churches.
