Telemedical ulcer assessment: The method

- The home nurse photographs the ulcer with her cell phone and

uploads the to image to a web based database.

- The doctor at the hospital accesses the database, examines the

image and, if needed, prescribes new treatment or new medication.

- Communication between nurse and doctor is also a part of the

database - shared ulcer patient record.

- Positive Business case:

- 30 % reduction of healing time

- fewer visits by the municipal nurse

Sverige

• Svenskene er kjent for å lede sine organisasjoner på et ikke-hierarkisk vis. Ledelsen

delegerer heller ansvaret til den enkelte.

Danmark

• Danskene er kjent for å være “kremmere” og “handelsfolk”, og det er krevende å gjøre

forretninger I Danmark. Beskjedenhet, punktlighet og likhet er sentrale aspekter ved den

danske levemåten.

Finland

• Finland skiller seg fra sine skandinaviske naboer på en rekke måter. I

forretningssammenheng er kanskje det mest påfallende at man ikke er avhengig av

konsensus for å ta viktige avgjørelser.

Slik gjør du business i Danmark

I næringslivet er det generelt høyere krav til profesjonalitet enn i Norge. Gode forberedelser,

oppfølging og overholdelse av avtaler er meget viktig. Forretningskulturen er mer direkte,

formell og hierarkisk.

Direkte i stilen

Ved forhandling og møter kommer danskene godt forberedt,

Danskene er autoritære og språket direkte. … og avgjørelsene tas hurtigere.

Avbrytelser blir sett på som svært uhøflige, og viser dårlig forretningsetikette.

Opptatt av pris kvalitet og tidsfrister

Etablerte kontrakter blir ikke gitt mye fokus, men snarere pris, kvalitet og leveringstid.

Kontraktforhandlinger kan gå over lengre tid, og de er alltid åpen for endringer.

Antrekk i næringslivet er ikke bundet av strenge kleskoder, men likevel mer formelt enn i

Norge.

Erfaring fra Tryg

Vi er gode naboer og tror vi er like, men forskjellene er der og kan skape problemer når vi

skal jobbe sammen.

— Det er vanskeligere å være leder i Norge enn i Sverige og Danmark. Nordmenn er lite tro

mot autoriteter, stiller spørsmål ved alt og må overtales. Ikke alltid gjør de det de får beskjed

om heller, selv om sier de OK, sier Stine Bosse, avgått sjef i Tryg Forsikring.

Dette fikk hun selv merke på kroppen da hun skulle integrere norske Vesta i danske Tryg. I

Bergen fant man seg ikke i alle direktiver fra Danmark.

— Det var ikke bare å komme her som dansk dame å si at nå gjør vi sånn og sånn. Jeg tror

nordmenn med sin historie og sitt vikingblod tenker annerledes enn mange andre, sier Bosse.

Hun fikk råd om å besøke Norgeskontoret hver uke. Gjennom tettere kontakt og gjensidig

forståelse for kulturforskjeller gikk ting seg til. Nå mener hun norsk bedriftskultur illustrerer

fremtidens ledelse og Bosse føler hun har lært utrolig mye av denne opplevelsen.

— Det gjorde meg til en langt bedre leder. Jeg ble vant til å tenke at vi må ha gode

argumenter, de må være så bra at selv nordmennene blir overbevist.

Fire typer nordisk ledelse

Det er mange slående likhetstrekk mellom de nordiske landene. Landene deler mye av sin kultur, historie og tradisjoner.

Under overflaten er det likevel merkbare forskjeller på hvordan ledere i de nordiske landene

kommuniserer, utøver ledelse, tar beslutninger og tar eller unngår risiko.

- Vi er ikke alle vikinger. Det er subtile, men viktige kulturelle forskjeller mellom folk fra Norge, Sverige,

Danmark og Finland

Svenskene liker konsensus

Svenske ledere er opptatt av å diskutere seg helt frem

til en løsning partene er enige om, selv om det kan ta

tid. Det legges større vekt på småprat i arbeidslivet.

Sverige skårer nesten like høyt som Norge på

likestillingsverdier, og er heller ikke uvant med å

forholde seg til kvinnelige sjefer. Svenskene skårer

relativt lavt på å være kollektive i grupper.

Svenskene er de som er mest opptatt av å styre unna

usikkerhet. Svenskene er i større grad enn for

eksempel nordmenn opptatt av å skille jobb og

privatliv.

Maskuline finner

Finske ledere praktiserer den mest maskuline

forretningskulturen blant de undersøkte landene. Her

er det minst gjennomslag for likestillingsverdier og

vanskeligere for kvinner å nå opp som ledere.

Finland har mest hierarki i arbeidslivet blant landene i

studien. Det viser seg gjennom stor maktavstand fra

leder til medarbeidere. Finske ledere skårer lavest på

den kulturelle verdien menneskeorientering.

Finner jobber hardt når de har den rette motivasjonen.

Finner er mindre opptatt av å utvikle sosiale

kompetanse.

Nordmenn er rett på sak

• Nordmenn er mest direkte i sin væremåte blant de norske forretningskollegene. De kaller gjerne en

spade for en spade. Nordmenn sløser sjelden med ord, og sier tingene som der er uten å pakke det

inn.

• Nordmenn skårer høyest på framtidsorientering, de liker å planlegge. Likestillingsverdier er mest

utbredt i Norge. Kvinner i lederstillinger er mer utbredt enn i de andre nordiske landene.

• Nordmenn skårer høyt også på menneskeorientering, og trives med å jobbe sammen i grupper og

team.

Danskene er individualister

• Danske ledere er mer individualistiske enn sine nordiske naboer, og de er mest målbevisste og

resultatorienterte. De vil ha tingene gjort.

• Danmark har minst grad av hierarki i arbeidslivet. Danske medarbeidere opplever stort behov for selv

å kunne påvirke hvordan oppgavene skal løses.

• Danskene er mindre opptatt av klasse og status enn de flesteparten av deres handelspartnere.

• I Norge tar vi det nærmest som en selvfølge at det kan være effektivt å samarbeide når vi arbeider i

grupper. I Danmark og Sverige kan vi forvente langt større innslag av individualisme og konkurranse i

prosjektarbeid i grupper.
