Startup Weekend Mission

Some people go on religious missions. Startups are my religion. I want to embark on an adventure around the US to volunteer my time to grow startup communities, learn from others around the country and survey analytical feedback to improve the SW product.


Proposal

Assignment to facilitate a SW event every week around the U.S. for 3 consecutive months


1. All my attention will be focused on facilitating SW’s

2. Alleviate pain of asking other facilitators (up to 13 events will be taken care of by me)

3. Experienced Facilitator doing more events (in a 3 mo. span, I will be able to gain lots of experience to continue to improve upon creating more successful events)

4. Customer Development (I will be surveying feedback from up to 13 different cities)

5. Potential media exposure (I will be blogging continuously about my journey, media would be able to pick up on it)

6. I am a volunteer. You don’t need to pay me :)

Startup Weekend Benefits

3. Learn (being a facilitator will allow me to be in the center of energized startup communities which will in return be a remarkable educational experience)

1. Facilitator assignments from Jan. - Mar. (a little variety would be great, but ultimately I am not picky at all where I am assigned)

1. Do you have facilitator’s for these events?

2. I have been in talks with people in New Orleans that plan to do one in Feb and a group in Hawaii that is planning to do one in March that I would like to facilitate. They haven’t set a final date yet.


I have a passion for building startup communities and am in a time in my life where I am able to dedicate a certain amount of time to invest in an

experience where I know I will not only grow personally but can help Startup Weekend continue to achieve your vision.
