$300M of R&D spending per year by private industry, 48% of the economy is driven by manufacturing. Aerospace engineering for jet fighter turbines, biologics manufacturing innovation, and the people recruiting are the same ones running federal R&D.

We have as many engineers pursuing undergraduate degrees as a Purdue, a Texas A&M or an Ohio State. These programs are accredited in the US and the proof is in the recruiting. We simply have not been introduced to the startup community.

Then came the internet, and Startups of Puerto Rico was born.
