SHFB Update First 6 Months FY 2010/11
• 23.5 Million Pounds of Food
• Serving almost 250,000 people every month - Nearly 300,000 people received food in December
• Pace of growth has slowed
• Food Connection call volume down slightly
• “Intensity” of use by clients has increased at pantries

Environmental Impacts
• Increased automation at Social Services Agency
• Government Agencies – Funding & Staff Cuts
• Cuts in Funding For Providers – State/County/City
• Reduced/Eliminated Services
• January SHFB Partner Closures – 3 Pantries and 1 Shelter

partnership to close the hunger gap.
