History of Colorado

• On August 1, 1876 Colorado was admitted to the United States.

  • 38th state and earning it the moniker "Centennial State",    

because it entered the union in 1876, 100 years after the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

• Designed by Andrew Carlisle Johnson in 1911.  The blue stands for the sky and the white stands for the snow capped mountans.

• The highest peak in the rockies is Mt. Elbert which is in Colorado

• The Rocky Mountains stretch more than 3,000 miles (4,830 km) from the northernmost part of British Columbia, in western Canada, to New Mexico, in the southwestern United States.

Conclusion

    In conclusion, Colorado Is a great state to visit if you're looking for diversity. It has many bustling cities filled with lots to do and many places to go. On the other side it has a lot of peaceful nature places like the Rocky Mountains. With many attractions and other places to visit Colorado is a wonderful place all-around.
