Schedule C - Classification of Country and TerritoryDesignations for U.S. Foreign Trade Statistics

Schedule C contains the country and territory designations for use in compilingthe U.S. export and import statistics. These designations should be shown in allcases where statistical information is required. The first part of this schedulecontains the country designations arranged in numeric order by continent andlisted in sequence within each continent generally from north to south and westto east. Abbreviated country designations, which are used in lieu of complete country names in some foreign trade reports, are also shown. The second partcontains a listing in alphabetical arrangement of the countries, territories, etc.,with their numeric codes. The names of the entities listed are generally theconventional spellings as approved by the U.S. Board on Geographic Names. Revisions to Schedule C will be announced in the form of "special notices" todata users, as Public Bulletins to Schedule B, Statistical Classification ofDomestic and Foreign Commodities Exported from the United States, and assupplements to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States Annotatedfor statistical purposes (HTS). HTS also includes a list of International Standard(ISO) Country Codes to be used by importers to report country of origin.

Schedule D - Classification of U.S. Customs Districtsand Ports for U.S. Foreign Trade Statistics

Schedule D provides a list of U.S. Customs districts, the ports included undereach district, and the corresponding numeric codes used in compiling the U.S.foreign trade statistics. The Schedule contains a code for each official U.S.Customs district and port, with some additional codes provided to meet specificcompiling requirements of the foreign trade statistics program. The headquartersport for each district is underlined. Some Customs ports show two codes. Exporters and importers may report either code. The first part of this schedulecontains the Customs districts and ports arranged in numeric order by code,while the second part lists the ports in alphabetic order. Revisions to Schedule D will be announced in the form of "special notices" todata users, as Public Bulletins to Schedule B, Statistical Classification ofDomestic and Foreign CommoditiesExported from the United States, and assupplements to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States Annotatedfor Statistical Purposes.
