• Objectives - overall:– H2 safety: integrate/share experience and knowledge– common understanding of hydrogen safety and risk– tool for safety and risk assessment– keep the industry updated with recent H2 accidents/incidents– common methodology/format for data collection and storage
• Objectives – months 13-30:– Software development– Population of HIAD with data
• Efforts:– Budget: 13.2 MM– Further specification and programming: JRC & DNV– Excel “tool” for data collection (HIAD_Template_4Users.xls):

Technical SolutionHIAD Characteristics
The HIAD system stores its data in a relational database. JRC[1] will implemen the database structure in an Oracle RDBMS. Figure 1 portrays the JRC hard- and software infrastructure used to operate HIAD. [1] The database implementation will be carried out by the JRC-Data Management and Dissemination Team.
Data retrieval
JRC will implement a web-enabled user interface for the retrieval of HIAD records based on Java server technology (J2EE), which retrieves requested data from the DB server, processes the data as required and then transfers data in HTML format to the browser of the end user. .

Success
• Contributions to Integration
– Produce a tool to be shared by the partners in the Consortium– Invitation to a joint data collection effort– Initiated discussions on how to report to HIAD– HIAD on the agenda; common meeting place for risk data
– Co-operation with external entities/partners
HySafe Coordination Committee Meeting, 8 March 2006, Oslo
• Deviations from DJPA/DoW planning:– Software delivery and launching delayed to June 15 2006 (D59)– HIAD w/data delayed to October 1 2006– Else: None p.t.
• Foreseen difficulties:– Change of JRC programming staff
– Limited attention on collecting data on Excel format More attractive and intuitive tool; update based on feedback ”Marketing”
