WHEREAS, I, PASCHAL DONOHOE, Minister for Public Expenditure andReform, am of the opinion that each body, organisation or group specified inthe following regulations ought, in the public interest and having regard to theprovisions and spirit of the Ethics in Public Office Act 1995 (No. 22 of 1995),to be prescribed:

AND WHEREAS I consider that it is necessary in the public interest to pre-scribe the directorships of the public bodies specified in the following regulationsfor the purposes of the definition of “designated directorship” in section 2 ofthat Act:

AND WHEREAS I consider that it is necessary in the public interest to pre-scribe the positions of employment in the public bodies specified in the followingregulations for the purposes of the definition of "designated position" in section2 of that Act:

NOW, I, Paschal Donohoe, in exercise of the powers conferred on me bysection 3 of, and paragraph 1(13) of the First Schedule to, that Act (as adaptedby the Finance (Transfer of Departmental Administration and MinisterialFunctions) Order 2011 (S.I. No. 418 of 2011)) and after consultation in accord-ance with section 3(4) of that Act, hereby make the following regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Ethics in Public Office (PrescribedPublic Bodies, Designated Directorships of Public Bodies and Designated Posi-tions in Public Bodies) (Amendment) Regulations 2018.

2. The Ethics in Public Office (Prescribed Public Bodies, Designated Direc-torships of Public Bodies and Designated Positions in Public Bodies) Regu-lations 2004 (S.I. No. 699 of 2004) are amended—

(a) by substituting for Regulation 8 (amended by Regulation 2(a) of theEthics in Public Office (Prescribed Public Bodies, Designated Direc-torships of Public Bodies and Designated Positions in Public Bodies)(Amendment) (No. 3) Regulations 2010 (S.I. No. 645 of 2010)) thefollowing:

“8. The following are prescribed for the purposes of paragraph 1(13)of the First Schedule to the Act:
