‘OVAL’ PADDLESHOOK-LATCH

MODELSOur new ‘Oval’ paddles have superb

appearance and are quick and easy toinstall. Made in tough, self-colourmoulded materials for corrosion

resistance, they are flush-fitting andhave no visible mounting points.

The ‘hook-latch’ design incorporates a spring-loaded stainless steel ‘hook’ that projectsvertically from the back of the paddle case

rather than the conventional slam-bolt. Thisgives a much smoother action – doors closeeasily, and do not ‘bounce back’. The loop

striker (also in stainless steel) ensurespositive engagement which resists vibration.

allows a padlock to be fitted, providingvisible evidence that the enclosure is

securely locked. A loop-striker (in stainlesssteel) ensures positive engagement.

Moulded case with integral gasket andno rear apertures prevents entry ofwater. Moulded ‘ramp’ on hookprovides exceptionally smooth, quietaction. Fits same aperture as ourstandard rectangular ‘paddles’.

Close door so that ramped face ofhook meets striker and is forced toengage. Once shut, turn diecast knobthrough 90° to secure flap againstbase, then depress top and insertpadlock through aperture. The flapnow cannot open.

Locking with padlock (as above)prevents movement of flap but hook isstill free to operate and will slam-shut.

Fixed with two M8 stainless bolts andsteel ‘U’-bracket which clamps paddleagainst underside of panel.

REVERSED-FLAPThese unique, ‘reversed-flap’ modelsoffer a new solution to the problemsinvolved with securing of top-hingeddoors. Previously, the only options

members.

Fully-flush and attractively finished, thenew paddles have a wide, deep apertureto suit a gloved hand. The design alsoallows more ”pull” than with normal

PADLOCKABLEThis new, padlockable version of our‘deep-dish’ paddle latch is ideal for

applications where it is necessary tovisually check that compartments havebeen secured, or with rental equipment

when the operator prefers to fit theirown standard padlock.

The deep, wide case gives easy access for agloved hand and the ‘reverse flap’ designmeans the latch gives good leverage andcan be readily opened when mounted at

‘Model 21’ is an altogether new design in composite materials, providing a well-styled, versatile locking unit.

Fixed invisibly, without ugly bolts orrivets, it allows easy adjustment with

the latching point either above or below the handle, and with 6mm of ‘take-up’ to make an effortless seal

against gasketed doors. The latch isideal for electrical enclosures and‘visible’ applications where good

appearance is essential.

In the ‘usual’ arrangement forthis type of latch system thecontactor is positioned above thehandle (as with a regular ‘drop-T‘). This will suit doors hinged atthe side, with the latch mountedin a sideways orientation.

‘DROP-T’ MODELSWITH STUD-FIXING

This is an optional feature whichallows the ‘Drop-T’ unit to be securedfrom beneath, with no mounting holes,screws or rivets visible from outside.

Four weld-studs (M6 x 15 mm) are fittedto the flanges in same positions as normalmounting holes, giving better appearance,

more security, and preventing entry ofcorrosion-causing agents.

Stud-fixing is an option on all ‘Drop-T’models, including mild steel and powder

coated versions.

‘MINI’ SLAMLATCHES

Originally developed for the 1961‘Mini’ car, these latches are still

the neatest and most compactmodels available. Normally used

with our exterior locking handles,the latches can be slammed shutwithout damage, even when the

handle (or safety catch) is in‘locked’ position. Suitable for

auxiliary compartment doors and off-road vehicles.

Latch slams against striker plate; bolt isreleased by action of follow-bush.

Latches are ‘handed’ LH/RH by directionof rotation of bush, as shown. Thesafety catch (when fitted) preventsoperation from outside, but allows latchto slam as normal.

Fully plant-on fixings by bolts or rivetsthrough three 5 mm holes as shown.
