Why attend th is workshop?

Modular and fl exible assembly systems can be designed according to different production principles. All of them after many possibili-ties and have some constraints. Designing continuous fl ow cells and lines requires to involve different people – from assembly, quality, production control and logistics – in order to consider all point of views at improvement potentials. The initial production concept has to be verifi ed in practice and improved in accordance to BestPractice principles.During this 2-day workshop you have the possibility to work on de-signing modular assembly systems in accordance to different produc-tion principles.

Benefi ts of the workshop1. Get to know benefi ts of fl exible continuous fl ow production in comparison to strengths and weaknesses of batch production.2. Get to know how to use methods and tools of planning, controlling and continuously improving your processes in practice.3. Learn how to achieve timely deliveries while simultaneously eliminating waste, reducing inventory and lead times.4. Work on improvements in teams and discuss all problems and doubts you face in your daily work.

What are the workshop benef i ts?

„Who wants to act on the market of the world-class enterprises, must have a comprehensive system that integrates all the functions and all enterprise’s employees, suppliers and customers. What distinguishes these companies from the average ones, slightly dependent on the technical details of production, is the difference in the consistency of the implementation of the system.“

Martin Haas, Staufen AG, Executive Board
