  • A MESSAGE FROM FATHER PAT Dear St. Pius X Community,

At the Priest Convoca on last week we listened to Fr. Tom Rosica. He has amazing access to the Va can and has given us an amazing insight into the papacy and this Pope in par cular. It is a great me to be Catholic. I will be ge ng all of you copies of his annual magazine. He reminded us that the devil is present when we don’t feel the joy of the Gospel, when we are complacent and when we are divided. There were many comments that all the adversaries to this Pope are proof that the devil isn’t happy with the work Pope Francis is doing to unify all of God’s people. I encourage you all to google Fr. Rosica and visit his website where there is a plethora of free informa on.

The new cameras are up and running. We are having to upgrade our servers, but we will have much be er coverage once that is complete. Please report all incidents to the church office and if there is vandalism or the , please make a police report so that we can have more police patrols. All the events up ll now have occurred in the middle of the day; so please keep vehicles locked and valuables out of sight.

A few months ago I asked you all to invite someone to a end Mass with you. We had a few, but not nearly as many as we could have had. Part of the challenge to us at our Bap sm is to evangelize. We need to be drawing people to the church. I would like while the weather is cooler to start a walking ministry through neighborhoods to invite people to Church. If you would like to organize a few streets in your neighborhood, please call the office and leave your name and number. We need to do this in pairs.

Finally, the Online Giver Cards are ready. If you are an online giver, please use these cards. This will help those that don’t use this service to realize the numbers of you that are using this service. I think it really is the best way to give. IF you are not tech savvy and want to set it up, please setup an appoint-ment to come to the office with a cancelled check or credit card and we will help you get it set up.

    In Him,

    Fr. Pat

    Dear Lord,

We come to You with heavy hearts. We are grieving for the people of

Sutherland Springs, Texas. We ask You to reach down your loving arms

and wrap them in your comfort. Bring peace to the families who are mourning

the loss of a loved one. We know You have not left them, but their

hearts ache and they need to feel your touch. For those who were wounded, please touch

them with your healing hands. We ask that You take the entire community

of Sutherland Springs and hold them close to your heart as they rebuild their lives

without precious souls they have lost. Give them your strength, your courage and

empower them with your blessings. In Jesus’s name, I pray.
