It was commissioned by Michael Clemas and includes a improvement to a possible problem whereby the product could potentially exert insufficient compression on some walking sticks (shaft sizes outside of expected range) leading to rotation or slippage of the stedifoot during use. The content was created on the morning of Wednesday 20th March 2013 as an example

of a Design FMEA which aims to enhance an existing product. It was commissioned by

Michael Clemas and includes a improvement to a possible problem whereby the product

could potentially exert insufficient compression on some walking sticks (shaft sizes

outside of expected range) leading to rotation or slippage of the stedifoot during use.

Once again I did not spend too much time (a few hours) on the completeness of the

content as my objective was to convey the concept of Design FMEA, plus it is targeted at

people who are new to the subject. I must also add that I have not presented or

produced this with the design engineers!

This mini-website was published by Gavin Robbins using a dedicated FMEA software

program called IQ-FMEA. If you are interested in obtaining this specialist FMEA software

product, IQ-RM, FMEA Training, IQ-Software Training, or would like to hire a FMEA

facilitator, then please click on the logo above to get in touch.
