What made you want to do photography?Photography is an inimitable medium; To this day I enjoy the relationship between the image

and image maker, it’s intimate and it’s yours.

Where do you get your inspiriation?I honestly don’t know how to answer this question... When I’m stuck for inspiration I look to

magazines such as ‘Aperture’, ‘Creative Review’ and ‘Dazed & Confused’. If not I look to my more personal collection of books (which is pretty slim) like ‘The Wonderful World of Albert Kahn’, ‘Portraits’ by Steve McCurry and so on. Certain websites as magnumphotos.com is

always a plus. If all else fails, I’m not going to lie I will then sink into a beautiful episode of ‘Sex And The City’.

Whats your favourite type of photography?Portraiture at the moment, it could change. My favourite photographer is Arnold Newman (1918 - 2006) whose main focus was environmental portraits. There’s an impressive image Newman

captured of comedian Woody Allen, bloody love it!

If you could be a piece of furniture what would you be and why?You know what? I was trying to be serious answering all of those previous questions amica-

bly... I’m going to ruin it now. I recon I’d be a table; a table is touched, cleaned, decorated, and it can serve, change, balance and produce a damn good spread.

16th October 2009 and MODA returned to the engine shed in Lincoln to bring the craziest party night of the whole year. Already established itself as the leading club night in Lincoln and nationwide coverage through Radio 1 and Mixmag, Moda came back for a season opener that really got many ravers jumping with excitement as the sold out event was ready to drop hard and heavy!

For the return of L-town’s biggest night also brought the biggest line up. The Annie Mac Presents tour arrived and exploded for 6 hours of the heaviest beats, blips and bass ever witnessed in the engine shed. Acts that got the whole night jumping included; Annie Mac who has established herself as queen of the mash up on Radio 1. Rusko the dubstep phenomenon, Herve the king of bass driven dance and beats and Jaymo and Andy George exciting young DJ’s who regularly play on Radio 1 and are also co-creators of Moda.

As the engine shed filled to its full capacity the atmosphere in the venue was buzzing with happy faces ready to get their rave on all night. Rusko exploded onto the decks quite early on with bass

trembling dubstep that was more than just a crowd pleaser, but had all of the venue skanking before it had even hit midnight. From this moment on the engine shed was set to be an ecstatic and feel good place right through to the early hours of the morning.

Lasers and lights of all colours ignited the engine shed into a spectacle as well as being supported by a quality sound system to get the most out of the music and let the crowd not just hear but feel the music. And the final factor to complete what proved to be a sweet night was the crowd, who turned out in their numbers dressed up and dressed down to unify to the sound of Moda.

If your looking for undoubtedly Lincoln’s best club night then let Moda Own You as I am sure it will come back with another mind blowing line-up!

I chose to shoot in York Brewery which is an in-dependant city centre based business. Although it was an early start and I have not been up before 9 oclock in a LONG time I enjoyed the shoot. The brief required me to use fill in flash. As i don’t have a dedicted canon flash I used off camera flash and tried to be more creative with the lighting. I was happy with the results and so was my tutor so all in all it was a success.
