TRANSCRIPT
Showcase your child’s creativity and ability to
express themselves in English by asking them to
create a ‘super power’ that can help make the world
a better place and have the chance to win a free
British Council summer English course.
Summer English Art Competition
Unleash your child’s super power and
take advantage of this fun way of learning English!
Step 1
Kindergarten group (K2–K3)Let your child’s imagination fly. Help your child use their
imagination to draw a version of themselves that
is based on the following theme: Empower others with
your smile and fill the world with happiness. Ask your
child to draw their ideas on the drawing panel to show
how their smile can brighten up other people’s day.
Primary group (P1–P6)First let your child choose one of the key
environmental issues below that we are facing and
guide them to create an imaginary version of
themselves with a special ‘super power’.
A. Climate change B. Sea pollution C. Environmental protection
Then ask your child to show how they can use their
‘super power’ to address their chosen issue – they
should draw their ideas on the drawing panel.
Finally, ask your child to write 50 words in English to
describe how the ‘super power’ that they have thought
of would work.
Useful tips:
To facilitate the creation process, you may ask your
child to stick a photo of themselves on the drawing
panel and subsequently add their own drawing around
the photo. Alternatively, they could choose to draw
their ideas from scratch.
