Step by Step guide for Updating Increment before Salary Submission of July 2017
Thank you all for support & patience in successful switch over from OSMS to iOSMS V2. Now before submitting salary requisition for July 2017, we have to Submit Salary Increment details. And without updating Previous Salary Increment Details we cannot update Salary increment. Above all to successfully proceed with Previous Salary Increment Detailswe should update our Date of 1stEntry into service as per service book from Update Employee Personal Details Profile. Please follow the step by step guide for the above mentioned jobs:
1. Update Employee Personal Details Profile first. Enter Date of 1st entry into service as per service book, spouse employment information, her Basic pay, HRA, Health scheme status, Residential status etc.Don’t repeat if updated earlier in June 2017. After log in in iOSMS, such menu options will appear. Click as shown
Then click on Update menu as shown here
Now select each employee to update his/her Date of 1st joining, spouse details
Then enter the following details (if not done already in June)
Check everything again before save & continue
2. Now Update Previous Increment Details till date as enjoyed by the employees. For 10/20 yrs. enter effect date. (If one’s 10/20 yrs was on March and he opted to take it on 1stjuly with Normal or Periodical increment, write his/her effect date as 1st July of that year.) To enter Previous increment click as shown.
After that read carefully the following details. Don’t scroll down without reading
Click concerned employee to update his/her previous increment details:
Now enter details in desired fields:
See the message of successful submission:
In case of No Increment/ Increment stop: select following option
Simply click on submit:
See the confirmation message again for no increment option.
3. After updating Previous increment details for each employee, Salary Increment details to be updated before proceeding with salary submission for July 2017 Go to the following menu option as shown and select increment type:
For normal single increment select Periodical and go to action button to submit:
After selection click action button as shown
Now check the increment & pay details and click on submit if found correct
After submission this message will confirm your submission but it is still editable
After saving, this final message will be displayed and increment is saved and cannot be edited at HOI end. If still is any mistake approach DI office for unlock.
For Double increment (in case of 10/20/18 yrs due during 2nd Jan – 1st July and option exercised to take them along with normal increment).In case of 10/20 yrs.
Enter effect date, check data and submit.
See message confirming your submission.
In case of 18 yrs. Increment to be taken on 1stJuly (approval already done)
Select concerned employee and click as shown
Enter approval details here and send request
See the confirmation message when request is send
When request is approved by DI office
Now go to Salary increment section and select desired option:
Enter details as required in the fields to proceed with Normal & 18 yrs increment
Now in case of No Increment select option as shown:
Check and submit:
Don’t forget to see the confirmation message at submission.
