Retrieve red Oyster Log binder from counter-top
2. Drive Explorer to shop yard
Attach oyster trailer: slide trailer onto ball hitch of Explorer, push down lever to lock, plug in electric cord for break light connection, attach 2 chains to Explorer
Check that all of the recycle bins are secure in the trailer via the bungie net
• Note: all the supplies you need are in the back of the Explorer.
– Blue bin: oyster scale, first aid, writing implements, latex gloves, trash bags, etc.
– Shovel: used if you need to transfer shell from one bin to another due to weight
– Dolly: used to move bins about if they are too heavy to wheel as-is
– Rain jackets: used if raining
– Sheet of heavy aluminum: to be placed under scale when weighing bins …please use!
3. Drive to restaurants
Retrieve full bins
Weigh them before loading into trailer
Replace those bins with the same number of new, clean bins
Record weights in log book next to appropriate restaurant name, date, etc.

Load empty bins back onto trailer and head back to the shop yard
5. Drive back to shop yard
Unload dirty bins at washing station and hose down
Park trailer back in it’s place
Secure bins down with the bungie net as you found it (ready for the next volunteers)
