pizzaBy: Sanjana

Ingredients• 250 g strong white bread flour or Tipo
‘00’ flour• 1 level teaspoon fine sea salt• 3.5 g of dried yeast• 1 teaspoon sugar• 1 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil• 160 ml lukewarm water • 1 Jar of Prego Sauce• 1 Packet of Mozzarella Cheese
Materials• Sieve• Bowl• Fork• Damp Cloth• Clingfilm• Pan• Knife• Tray
SieveSieve 250 grams of flour into a bowl. Do this by putting a bowl on a scale and then turning it on. Make sure there aren’t any big lumps of flour afterwards. Also add 1 teaspoon of salt to it.
MeasureMeasure 3.5 grams of yeast, 1 teaspoon of sugar, 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil and 160 ml of water. Do this by using the scale, and measuring cup. Then boil the water until it is warm (you should be able to put your finger in it).
Mix & Add
Mix the yeast, sugar, olive oil and water in a bowl. The pour it into the middle of the sieved flour and salt.
MixMix everything together by making circles on the outside and slowly coming into the middle. Try to use only one hand so you can use the other hand for picking or getting things.
Knead
After mixing everything, use one hand to knead the dough until it no longer sticks to your hand. Add flour to help. Knead by pushing dough forward, pulling back then rotating.
Leave it
Put dough in a bowl and sprinkle flour on top of it. The use dam cloth to cover the bowl and leave it in a warm place for an hour so it can grow. When putting damp cloth on, make sure there isn’t any water dripping from it.
Knock the air out
Take the dough out and put it on a flour-sprinkled surface. Then knead it to push the air out of the dough – ‘knocking the air out of it’.
Option?
If you are immediately continuing to make the pizza, ignore this. However, if you will continue tomorrow, wrap dough in Clingfilm and leave it in the refrigerator/freezer and continue tomorrow.
DivideDivide the dough up into as many pizzas you want. With this quantity, you should be able to make either a large pizza or 2 medium sized pizzas.
Stretch
Using a rolling pin, stretch out the pizza and try to make the outcome a square/rectangle (so it fits the tray).
ToppingWith a knife, spread the Prego Sauce onto the dough, leaving a little space on the border for the crust. Then sprinkle or put cheese and topping of choice onto where the sauce is spread.
Oil on Tray
Get a tray to put your pizza in and put 1 tablespoon of olive oil onto the middle of the tray. Then with your hands, spread it on the whole tray. Make sure, it reaches the sides too!
Onto the Tray and into the oven!
Use the rolling pin to help, put the pizza dough onto the tray and then put it in the oven to bake. Leave it there for about 15-20 minutes.
Out and Slice
Bring the pizza out of the oven and cut it into preferred number of slices with a knife.
ENJOY! :)
