Financial Update - Praise God! We are grateful for the gifts of God’s people. With four months to go in our fiscal year actual giving exceeds actual expenses by $44,000. This is a good place to be as we head into the lean summer months. However, as of the end of April, MVPC is slightly behind in “budgeted” giving by $4,000 and the staff has reduced expenses below budget by $20,000. Please remember that capital campaign giving is separate from MVPC’s operations budget and pray that as a church we will give according to the blessings God has showered on us.

You Are Not Alone

1 Corinthians 11:23-26 and Hebrews 13:8

Message Notes

WELCOME!

This morning Pastor Dave will preach the sermon, Step Up to Tomorrow with Confidence – You Are Not Alone from 1 Corinthians 11:23-26 and Hebrews 13:8. We will also observe communion. Jesus Christ provided this sacrament as a way for His followers to remember and renew our faith in Him. The bread recalls His body,

given for us, and the cup recalls His blood, shed for the forgiveness of our sins. If you honor Jesus as your Savior we invite you to receive communion.

Welcome! If you are a guest with us, please come to The Gathering Place near the reSource Center after the worship service. We would love to meet you and help you get connected.

Sunday Classes – Classes for children and adults are offered simultaneous to worship services most Sundays September through June. Please see our website for current offerings.

You’re Invited – Next Sunday, May 12th, Pastor Geoff will preach the sermon, Step Up to Tomorrow with Character – the Kind that Mama Used to Make, from 2 Kings 4:14-37.

Chancel Flowers – The flowers on the chancel this morning are given by Pat and Bill Irwin in celebration of their anniversary and the joy their wonderful grandchildren bring to their lives and by Lorli French and family in loving memory of Leigh French.
