Normal Position of the Connection Terminals

If a multipole corrector within the magnet assembly has its connection terminals facing downstream of Beam 1, and if the magnet's optical function changes (depending on the multipole order), then the terminals are re-labeled.

Normal Position of the Connection Terminals

If an entire magnet assembly is be installed in the LHC tunnel turned by 180 deg. around the vertical axis, then the naming of the connection terminals A and B are not changed. If the magnet's optical function changes, then the polarity is changed on the warm side (magnet is marked with a star in the layout).
