About Reed Reed was founded by Sir Alec Reed in 1960 to deliver specialist recruitment services. Today, Reed Global is a group of companies still run by the Reed family with more than 3,000 permanent employees working across 425 business units in 180 locations worldwide.

Reed Global is made up of four key business areas: Reed Specialist Recruitment, reed.co.uk, Reed Learning and Reed in Partnership. Reed Specialist Recruitment has been operating in Northern Ireland for 18 years, helping businesses succeed and grow by matching their recruitment needs to the right candidates.

Reed in Partnership Reed in Partnership has been changing lives since 1998.

We were launched as one of the first private welfare-to-work providers in the UK. Our first contract started in Hackney, delivering a ‘New Deal’ contract to support local jobseekers. As our performance and expertise grew we expanded to deliver services in Scotland, Yorkshire, the North West, the East of England and across London. We now support people and their communities across the UK - from Bournemouth to Glasgow.

As well as growing across the UK, we have also diversified our business to contribute to a number of areas. We now deliver a range of programmes from employment support to Apprenticeships to College Jobs Brokerage to developing young citizens through the National Citizen Service.

Working in partnershipOur services are delivered in partnership with national, regional and local stakeholders and supply chain partners. We are proud to work with our partners to provide the best support for our customers.

We are Merlin Accredited (UK supply chain accreditation), with an ‘excellent’ rating for supply chain design. The report acknowledged our “very active role in supporting the growth and development of Supply Chain Partners” and our ability to respond to partners’ requests for support “with practical, real solutions.”

“We have been impressed with Reed in Partnership as a supply chain management organisation. They are well organised and efficient, providing timely and detailed guidance throughout project implementation and management phases.”

Supporting the long-term unemployedWe have delivered over 100 programmes to support unemployed individuals into sustained work. Each programme has given us further experience of providing effective services to a variety of customer groups.

Each jobseeker we support has different reasons for being out of work so we design and run flexible programmes which are tailored to their individual needs. By creating a bespoke route to work for each jobseeker, we deliver a personal and effective service.

How we help people into workDedicated Employment Advisers provide personalised advice and guidance to help people to break down their barriers to work. Working with local partners we can tackle anything from a lack of work experience to alcohol addiction.

Skills and Training we deliver employability and work-focused training in-house and with local partners. We also design bespoke courses to meet employer-specific needs.

Our Recruitment Teams work with local and national employers to identify hundreds of job vacancies so our customers have a range of opportunities. Our Self-Employment Advisers provide specialist support for those starting their own business.

In-work Support ensures that our customers continue to access support once they have started in employment.
