2. Choose your BEST work from each of the 3 piles
• Make sure that you choose 1 assignment that shows me that you understand the material.
3. Choose an assignment that shows your growth as a student
• A good assignment would be one that you:– Struggled with– Took a long time to finish– Did not complete because
you did not understand it– Were unfamiliar or
uncomfortable with at first
– Never did an assignment like this before
4. Choose your favorite assignment
• A good assignment is one that you– Are proud of– Had the most fun with– Used to study for the
test and it helped a lot
5. Write a paragraph for every assignment that you choose
• Make sure that you explain why you choose the assignment
• Explain how you felt about the assignment (it was hard, easy, fun, stressful)
• Explain how the assignment did or did not help you
• Talk about if you would like to do the assignment again and explain why
6. Have someone edit your paragraphs
• Make sure– There are no spelling
errors– The sentences are
complete– You have 5 sentences for
each paragraph• Check the rubric for
more specific details (download it from my website)
7. Create a table of contents and a title page (should be typed)
• A table of contents shows the pages that your work is on (download one from my website)
• Example:
• A title page has your name, period, date and title
• Example:
Investigation PortfolioFirst and Last Name
Period XAugust 15

• 1st page= title page• 2nd page= table of contents• Next page or two= typed reflection paragraphs• Next page= Average, error, accuracy • Next page= Scientific variables• Next page= Graphing • Next page= Growth• Next page= Favorite
10. Attach the pages together and fill out the checklist
• You may use a staple or a report cover to attach the pages
• Use the checklist I gave you (you can download another one from my website) to make sure that you have completed everything
• Use the rubric to ensure that you have met the requirements for the grade you want (download it from my website)
11. Turn it in
• Remember, turn it in ON TIME so that you can re-do it for full credit within the next week.
• If you miss the due date, turn it in ASAP because the grade drops 10% every day.
