Photometric FlexibilityWattage ranges from 100 up to 1000watts. High-efficiency specular Alzak@reflectors direct light. The absenceof glare factor makes PARKDALEparticularly well suited for airport installations since it eliminates the after-image pilots experience with conventional lighting. Controlling the primary source of illumination has alsoeliminated the "wall of light" caused by reflection off dust, pollution and moisture. The PARKDALE usesincandescent and HID lamps. All luminaires are designed and manufactured to meet or exceed U.L. andN.E.C.requirements; all fixtures bear the I.B,EW. label. I.E.S. distribution patterns..The flat lens shall be mechanical and thermaltempered clear glass providing maximum trans-mission of light. Glass lens will be encased in afour piece extruded aluminum frame with two sili-

cone gaskets secured by mechanical means onlyto provide a seal against dirt and moisture. Door tobe hinged with stainless steel pinswith safety clips.Latching will be done with two 90-turn stainlesssteel latches.Slipfitter shall be provided with stainless steelsetscrews to level and hold the housing in place onthe support arm.The luminaire will bear the listing mark of Under-writers Laboratories. Fixtures suitable for use inwet locations.

The luminaire shall beof cast aluminumwith integralsllpfitter. Finish on housing shall be baked acrylicbaseenamel. Ballast components, core and coil, ca-pacitors and fused terminal block shall be mountedin slipfitter end of the housing and enclosed by asheet aluminum cover. Ballast shall be capable ofstarting a__ watt __ type of lamp at __ volt-age down to -20 F.
