Steroids in sports have been a constant

problem in the past decades, but that

problem has erupted in today’s societyand looks to continue in the future if

the leagues and government do not

work together in order to get in theway of this issue.



There are a variety of steroids in theworld, but the most commonly

related to sports would be anabolicsteroids.

Anabolic steroids are “steroidsthat promote tissue growth bycreating protein in an attempt toenhance muscle growth.”



They increase the muscle gain that resultsfrom strenuous exercise and maximize theimpact of a high protein diet. They alsoreduce the soreness that normally resultsfrom strenuous exercise

This allows an athlete using steroids to liftmore weight, with less recovery time inbetween.



Barry Bonds first used steroids to returnquicker from his injuries; thus caused hiselbow injury because they had made his

arm muscles so large that the elbowtendon could not support them

mood swings, fatigue, restlessness, loss of appetite, insomnia, and the desire to take
