RACE 6 NANGAR FREEDOM( 2 ) Vehicle breakdown 12.17pm. 10 Days Incapacitation Certificate issued. Stewards spoke to connections and advised that a mechanic’s invoice is required to substantiate the late scratching reason, with the scratching to become penalty free on production.

A pre race sample is to be obtained from STORM BAY – Race 7 No. 5

All winners tonight will be swabbed.

Stewards permitted MURDOCH KEEPING – Race 3 No. 4 to compete under GAR 39(2). The greyhound

last started on 25/10/20 at the weight of 32.4kgs, and was presented tonight at 30.8kgs.

KIA HERRERA( 7 ) jumped smartly and led throughout. FLASHING TORQUE( 3 ) and MR. DUSTY SIR( 6 ) were slow to begin. FLASHING TORQUE( 3 ) raced wide at the first turn, checking FUN DAY FRIDAY( 8 ), with both runners losing ground. EBONY EDITION( 5 ) was checked off the heels of MR. NANGAR RUST( 4 ) raced wide at the turn into the back straight, checking BILL BATH( 7 ). BILL BATH( 7 ) galloped on the back of NANGAR RUST( 4 ), at the turn out of the back straight, with both runners losing further ground. greyhound secured away, and another attempt made after Race 10.

A secondary attempt to obtain a swab from MOON LINE( 8 ), was unsuccessful, with the swab

aborted at 9.45pm.

OUR BRO HAZZA( 4 ) checked LUNAR EDITION( 7 ) approaching the first turn, causing LUNAR EDITION( 7 ) to lose ground hampering WINLOCK HARLOW( 6 ) and MIDNIGHT AFFAIR( 8 ) . WINLOCK HARLOW( 6 ) raced wide abruptly at the first turn, checking LUNAR EDITION( 7 ) and MIDNIGHT AFFAIR( 8 ) , with WINLOCK HARLOW( 6 ) and MIDNIGHT AFFAIR( 8 ) losing considerable ground. POP THE CONFETTI( 3 ) was checked off the heels of JILLIBY EMMIE( 1 ) at the turn into the back straight, losing ground, hampering SURPRISE BABY( 5 ). ON THE ROCKS( 8 ) began very quickly leading throughout. LANMOR BABE( 6 ) was slow to begin. OUTSIDE WORLD( 5 ) dwelt at the start. VICKI’S QUEEN( 7 ) in crossing to the rails soon after the start, checked SHADY COMET( 4 ), which lost ground. VICKI’S QUEEN( 7 ) galloped across the heels of OUTSIDE WORLD( 5 ) in the back straight, racing wide colliding with LANMOR BABE( 6 ). LANMOR BABE( 6 ) was checked off the heels of VICKI’S QUEEN( 7 ), soon after entering the home straight.

SHANJO PRINCE( 4 ) and STORM BAY( 5 ) were slow to begin. INCAPACITATED( 1 ) was checked off the heels of LOLLIPOP LIZ( 2 ) approaching the first turn. CHRISSIE BANNER( 6 ) was checked off the heels of PRINCESS RIOT( 3 ) at the turn out of the back straight, impacting with the running rail shortly after. CHRISSIE BANNER( 6 ) galloped on the back of PRINCESS RIOT( 3 ) at the home turn, with both runners losing ground from this incident. Immediately following the completion of the race Stewards had the Hold All Tickets announcement broadcast. Stewards had concerns with the distance of the lure in the home straight. After viewing the replay of the race, Stewards believed that although the lure may have been questionably longer than the permissible distance, the incident at the home turn when CHRISSIE BANNER( 6 ) galloped on the back of PRINCESS RIOT( 3 ), when disputing the lead, contributed to the lure becoming slightly long. Stewards were of the opinion that as a consequence however, no runners had been materially inconvenienced, and duly posted the All Clear in accord with GAR 55(1).
