MASCOT MISS( 6 ) jumped smartly and led throughout. SHOTS FIRED( 3 ) and LOYAL ETHICS( 8 ) were slow to begin. CANDY CARRERA( 1 ) raced wide approaching the first turn, and again at the first turn, checking FERRARI BLASTER( 4 ), with both runners losing ground, CANDY CARRERA( 1 ) worst affected. WARDEN ANN( 7 ) raced wide running through the catching pen, hampering SHOTS FIRED( 3 ). MASCOT MISS( 6 ) eased badly just short of the winning post when holding a substantial lead, reducing the winning margin to a length. FERRARI BLASTER( 4 ) was vetted with no incapacitation period imposed MASCOT MISS( 6 ) was vetted with no incapacitation period imposed. With regards to the actions of MASCOT MISS( 6 ) just prior to the finish line, Stewards invoked GAR 69A(1) for failing to pursue the lure. As this was the greyhounds first offence, MASCOT MISS( 6 ) was suspended at Wentworth Park for 28 days, and is required to trial satisfactorily prior to re-nomination per GAR 69A(2)(a)

TROUBLE AT MILL( 8 ) was slow to begin. SNIFFY( 2 ), FUNKY PORTELLI( 3 ), and LET’S SEE( 4 ), came together in the run to the first turn. TORPEDO TEARS( 2 ), ZIPPING TRUVY( 4 ), and BY FIVE HELEN( 7 ) came together approaching the turn into the home straight on the first occasion, causing SNIFFY( 2 ) and LET’S SEE( 4 ) to lose ground sharply. TROUBLE AT MILL( 8 ) galloped on the back of FUNKY PORTELLI( 3 ) in the home straight, on the first occasion. FUNKY PORTELLI( 3 ) FIRED( 3 ) after racing prominently to the turn out of the back straight, began to tire, hampering LET’S SEE( 4 ) and TEMPER TEARS( 6 ) when yielding ground, and finished at the tail of the field.

ASTON SILK( 3 ) dwelt at box rise, conceding ground at the start, and remained at the tail of the field throughout. WHITFIELD( 6 ) galloped on the back of DO YOU DIG( 4 ) at the first turn, causing DO YOU DIG( 4 ) to race wide abruptly, badly hampering ASTON SILK( 3 ), NANGAR KASH( 5 ), and SPRITELY EBONY( 8 ). From this incident, all four runners lost ground, ASTON SILK( 3 ) worst affected. FIRE ON ICE( 5 ) began quickly. SANCTIFY( 2 ) and SHOWTIME JACK( 3 ) came together in the run to the first turn, with SHOWTIME JACK( 3 ) losing ground. SHOWTIME JACK( 3 ) outwardly marred HUNDRED DEGREES( 4 ) running through the catching pen, both losing considerable ground. WOW( 7 ) raced wide in the back straight. With regards to the actions of SHOWTIME JACK( 3 ) running through the catching pen, Stewards invoked GAR 69(1) for marring. The greyhound had incurred a previous marring offence in March ‘20, however this was lifted under GAR 70, after SHOWTIME JACK( 3 ) had completed 10 races without re-offending. Therefore tonight’s indiscretion was classified as a first offence. SHOWTIME JACK( 3 ) is now suspended at Wentworth Park for 28 days, and is required to undertake a satisfactory trial prior to re-nomination per GAR 69(2)(a)

PHANTOM CALL( 9 ) raced wide running through the catching pen, with PHANTOM CALL( 9 ) losing ground. SEEN AROUND( 3 ) went amiss approaching the turn into the back straight, and commenced to tail out. AVA WINE( 8 ) was checked off the heels of VAMOS PENNY( 6 ) approaching the turn out of the back straight. SEEN AROUND( 3 ) was vetted and was found to have cramped and strained in both back muscles. 14 Days Incapacitation Certificate issued. As a consequence of the veterinary report with respect to SEEN AROUND( 3 ), the greyhound is required to perform a satisfactory trial prior to re-nomination, per GAR 71.

ROYAL EMGRAND( 3 ) and BOOMIN’ ETHICS( 8 ) were slow to begin. CASTLE ARCHER( 7 ) in running to the lead in the run to the first turn, checked BUGATTI MOTION( 6 ), which lost ground, hampering BOOMIN’ ETHICS( 8 ). Shortly after, OIL AND WATER( 4 ) and BOOMIN’ ETHICS( 8 ) came together, causing both runners to lose ground. BENJI BUTTONS( 2 ) raced wide abruptly at the first turn, colliding heavily with CASTLE ARCHER( 7 ). From this incident, BENJI BUTTONS( 2 ) lost considerable ground, and CASTLE ARCHER( 7 ) fell and failed to finish, inconveniencing BUGATTI MOTION( 6 ), which also lost ground. CASTLE ARCHER( 7 ) was vetted and was found to have sustained a compound fracture of the near side radius and ulna. The greyhound was humanely euthanised at the request of connections.
