Every week we come to the parish to be nourished– fed by the grace of God working through the Sacraments, Small Groups, Adoration, Religious Education, and more. We are also called to be generous, returning our blessings to God in stewardship. Our September Stewardship is focusing on 2 areas: 1. Ministry Fair: Using your time, talent, and ability to serve others in the community (like Marys Cradle, homeless shelters, and Respect Life) and to serve our parish and its needs (Lectors, Adoration, and service groups). Many ministries serve both our parish and the community at the same time. 2. Financial Support: God has given so much, so we want to give as well. Tithes: a certain percentage of your income (ideally 10%, but start somewhere) with at least half going to your local parish. Offerings: giving beyond your tithe to either the parish or other ministries. Sign up at our Ministry Fair (weekends of Sept. 8th and 15th) to volunteer. In addition, every household is invited to reflect on their financial blessings and consider moving their support for the parish to online giving. Pray about it. Talk about it with your spouse. Commit. Remember to enjoy the process: it feels good to give. We are so grateful for you! Commitment Weekend will be Sept. 21st and 22nd.

Stewardship in September

This September Our Lady of the Valley is focusing on stewardship. Every week we come to the parish to be

nourished– fed by the grace of God working through the Sacraments, Small Groups, Adoration, Religious Education, and more. We are also called to be generous, returning our blessings to God in stewardship.

Our September Stewardship is focusing on 2 areas:

1. Ministry Fair: Using your time, talent, and ability to serve others in the community (like Mary’s Cradle, homeless shelters, and Respect Life) and to

serve our parish and its needs (Lectors, Adoration, and service groups). Many ministries serve both our parish and the community at the same time.

2. Financial Support: God has given so much, so we want to give as well. Tithes: a certain percentage of your income (ideally 10%, but start somewhere)

with at least half going to your local parish.

Do you ever ask yourself…

What am I looking for in life? What is the meaning of my life? How can I be a better person?

How can I come to know God’s love? What can I do about the loneliness I feel? How can I know the right path God has in store for me?

If you are asking these questions, or questions like them, the Catholic way of life awaits you. For centuries, people

have turned to the Church to find the answers to the deepest and hardest questions of everyday life.

Are you interested in finding out more about how to become a Catholic?

Gifting Forward through The Catholic Foundation for the benefit of your parish is the preferred way to give alms to your parish. It starts with prudent
