New Wine 2019 Saturday 27th July to Friday 2nd August 2019
at the East of England Showground, Peterborough, PE2 6XE
New Wine is a week-long Christian Summer Festival. During the day
there are activities for kids, adults, seminars, worship and just fun things
to do, in Paul’s words, “a great festival”.
It’s a great opportunity to take a week out and to think about faith, God,
Jesus, and what it might mean for you to follow Jesus today.
At New Wine they expect the Holy Spirit to be active and doing things in
people’s lives and stories come out of New Wine of lives changed and
lives transformed by God.
You can hear more from Paul about New Wine in his Sundays@11
sermon on 19th August 2018 entitled, “Don’t drink too much wine; be
filled instead with the Holy Spirit”:- http://stfaithslee.org/sermons/
New Wine 2019 is being held at the East of England Showground which
provides room for camping. The showground has excellent facilities and
for any non-campers, there are over 1,000 hotel rooms nearby. We will
be attending Week 1 (Saturday 27th July to Friday 2nd August 2019).
Access to the showground is available from 9am on Saturday 27th July
2019 to allow time to put up tents, set-up camp and familiarise
yourselves with the site before the main events start in the evening.
Camping space is allocated before the camp, so there will be room for
everyone regardless of what time you arrive.

For your prayers this week Collect for the 17th Sunday after Trinity
Almighty God,
you have made us for yourself,
and our hearts are restless till they find their rest in you:
pour your love into our hearts and draw us to yourself,
and so bring us at last to your heavenly city
where we shall see you face to face;
through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever. Amen.
Those to be christened: Matilda Green.
Those to be married: Matthew Boyle & Katie Ward.
Those who are unwell: Martin Over, Norah Drew, Eric Torroni, Pam
Dickey, Zofia Dewland, Sue Harrap and Andrew Munro.
Those who have died: Les Berry.
Anniversaries of Death: Harry Stacey (23rd); Frank Merwood (25th);
William Seymour and Vernon Hemsley (27th); Craig Parker and John
Fauchon (29th).
Our dear Father in heaven, we thank you that you have given us the
Lord Jesus on high and that we are allowed to be with him and find joy even
while still surrounded by all that must fade and perish. For in Jesus Christ
you hold us by the hand through anxiety, need, and death. Grant that he
may be with us as we continue our pilgrimage. Grant us your Spirit, for we
are poor in spirit and in soul. Give us your Holy Spirit from on high. Just in
our weakness we come to know what strength and victory you bring
through the Lord Jesus, our Saviour. The Lord Jesus is our Saviour for body,
soul, and spirit for ever and ever. Amen.
