Message from Principal Dr. Don Johnson
AsthenewprincipalatStillwaterAreaHighSchool,Iwanttowelcomeyouback to the 2013-14 school year! My name is Dr. Johnson and I have been chosentotaketheplaceofDr.Laager, whomyoumayseefromtimetotime in our building but has taken a new position at the school district office, workingwithbothhighschoolandjuniorhighschoolprincipalsandteachers.WhilethismaybemyfirstyearatSAHS,itisnotmyfirstyearasa principal! And while I may have already met some of you, I hope that the rest of you will feel free to introduce yourselves to me and allow me to get to know you as the year moves ahead.
As you likely know, one of the things that adds a bit of zest to the new school year is seeing and hopefully meeting those teachers who are new to our school.Thisfall, wehaveseveralnewfaces,inSpanish,English, science, social studies, and our Media Center. As you see these new teachers in the hallways and our classrooms, I hope you will take the time to get to know them and make them feel welcome to our school (new teachers may be feelingabitnervousthefirstdayofschoolaswellasnewstudents).

I hope that you return to school this fall with a renewed commitment to do your very best and to support your teammates and classmates in their efforts to do the same.
Thereprobablyhaven’tbeenalotchangestoourschoolbuildingoverthesummer months other than a major remodeling that took place in our industrial technology area in classrooms B116 – B120 where we are making a major effort to add even more engineering classes, along with the needed equipment and project space to our school. If you have one of those classes on your schedule, you will notice the changes that have taken place there.
In conclusion, I want to offer a guarantee to each and every one of our students;thatwethefacultyandstaffofStillwaterAreaHighSchool, willdoour utmost to make certain that our school will provide you:
