• Upon opening, the Confederation Line can carry up to ~11 000 people per hour in each direction• Future expansion can accommodate an ultimate

ridership of 24,000 people per hour in each direction

• Travel time from Tunney’s Pasture Station to Blair Station is under 25 minutes

•Trip times between stations vary, the longest being the 2 minutes and 10 seconds it will take to get from Tremblay to St. Laurent. The shortest trip between any two stations is Lyon to Parliament, approximately 49 seconds.

TICKET MACHINES Easy-to-use ticket machines at O-Train stations will let you buy tickets and passes or load your Presto card and will provide a direct audio and video link with customer service representatives. Ticket machines at O-Train stations accept cash, debit and credit cards, and provide a full range of fare payment options: • Load your Presto card with a monthly pass or instantly add money to your e-Purse • Buy a new Presto card • If you qualify for a discount (Senior, Community, Youth, Child, Access, EquiPass), you will need to have it applied in person at an OC Transpo Customer Service Centre) • Buy a single-ride fare at the adult, senior or child price • Buy a DayPass (or a Family Pass on weekends and holidays) • Check the status of your Presto card

Putting the Train into Service

• RTG anticipates turning over the system to the City by November 2, 2018

• Once the City accepts the system, OC Transpo has a number of complex activities to complete before putting the light rail system into service

• The City anticipates service will start in November 2018, as long as RTG achieves its requirements.

The train will move into full service from Tunney’s Pasture to Blair Station once: Full testing, commissioning trial running and certifications are complete and signed off; An independent Safety Auditor signs off on the safety of the System; Revenue Service Availability is met; and, The City confirms that the system is safe, reliable and ready for public use.

• Bus routes across the entire OC Transpo network are being transformed to provide connections to the O-Train Confederation Line.

• Changes are being implemented gradually leading up to and shortly after the opening of the Confederation Line to ensure a smooth transition to the 2018 transit network.

• Customers will be able to use the Ready for Rail Travel Planner on octranspo.com to plan their trips in 2018.

• Information on upcoming changes will be released through many customer communication channels.

The O-Train Confederation Line (Line 1) will:

• Transform Ottawa’s transit system into a multi-modal transit system;
