FOR THE MONTH OF OCTOBER 2015

SEMINAR & MEETING

Principal conducted staff meeting on 07.10.2015 (Wed) to identify the bright &

weak students and give better coaching for Std. VI -XII.

Principal & Administrator conducted Open day Evaluation meeting on 10.10.2015

for KG, Primary & Higher class teachers.

Administrator Sister & Principal attended Children‟s convention meeting at DFT

on 16.10.2015

Mrs. Vincy, Instructor & Professor of DMI college of Education, Palanchoor

conducted seminar on “Methodology of Teaching” for English handling

teachers on 31.10.2015.

Sr. Administrator, Principal & Admin staff are in attendance for Working committee

meeting every evening. We discuss about the drawbacks faced for the day and also

the planning for the next days work.

5 RC Teachers went to Pastoral Centre to attend seminar on

16.10.2015.

ACADEMIC

Go Smart- Handwriting Class was conducted for Std III – V.

Go Smart-Phonetics Class was conducted for Std I & II.

Regular Hindi class is going on for the students on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

In order to help the students learn better, special class was conducted for the

students of Std X & XII in the morning (7.30 to 8.15 am) and evening session (4.00

pm to 4.45 pm).

Academic Co-ordinator Mr. Xavier visited our school on 14.10.2015, he evaluated

the teachers, teaching using Tata Class edge. He also observed the teachers

teaching in various subjects and he reported that their teaching is good, audible, and

suggested to give more importance in interacting the students.

October monthly test was conducted for Std XII from 05.10.2015 to 20.10.2015.

October monthly test was conducted for Std X from 13.10.2015 to 26.10.2015.

Weekly test is conducted for Std I – IX students during zero period in all

the subjects during this month from 26.10.2015 – 30.10.2015.

Importance was given for brief answers & dictation words.

Special class was conducted for struggling students of Std. I - IX

on 31.10.2015 (Sat).

November monthly test commenced on 28.10.2015 for Std. XII and on

29.10.2015 for Std. X.

On 29.10.2015 & 30.10.2015 representatives for Tata Class Edge visited our school

and observed the teachers when they took class.

234 UKG students were taken to ICF museum Chennai - 38 on 31.10.2015, they

enjoyed well.

Mushroom cultivation training programme was conducted on 16.10.2015 &

19.10.2015 for Std VIII (2 batches).

OPEN DAY Parents with the students of Class LKG – Std. XII attended open day on 10.10.2015.

90% of parents met the concerned class teachers and discussed about their child’s

performance.

ZEIGEN 15 AT DMI COLLEGE

Our students participated in ZEIGEN’15 Science Expo on 08.10.2015 & 09.10.2015,

they performed well and won the I place (LED Television) and III place (Samsung

Printer). Std XI students (306) were taken to visit the EXPO.

PRESENTATION OF HISTORY OF DMI

History & Life of DMI was presented by our school children in the form NAATIYA

NADAGAM at Ashok Nagar at St. Mathias Church on 10.10.2015. Out of 23

congregations both Men & Women, the DMI programme was the best, appreciated by

the Bishop George Antonysamy and Fathers & Religious, that was the impact of the

programme.

CRICKET TOURNAMENT

Our School Cricket players Mast. M. Saravanan (XII A), Mast. S.Sanjay (XII G), Mast.

K. Nithish (X A) have been selected to represent Kanchipuram district tournament.

They won the match.

COMPETITION ACHIEVEMENTS

Our student Jhansirani. K of Std XI D received special prize in Smt.

Sakunthalammal Tamil Valarchi drawing competition organized by Shree Niketan

School , Thiruvallur on 10.10.2015

Children‟s day competitions are being conducted from 07.10.2015 onwards both

semi finals & finals for the classes PREKG to STD IX & XI.

CHRISTYNAL.V (VII - I) attended drawing competition on 15.10.2015 organized

by Hello media Pvt. Ltd.

On 28.10.2015 Jhansi Rani (XI D) participated in “ILANTHALIR

2015” in the Inter School Art Competition held at St. Louis

Institute for the Deaf & Blind, Adyar, She has been awarded III

place (cash award ` 700/-).

Radio City 91.1 and Godrej Properties conducted

Chennai Star Kids competition on 18.10.2015 on Singing , Dancing,

Drawing. NARESH KUMAR .D Std I „I‟ is selected as runner in Dancing.

Our Super Seniors placed III in Kancheepuram Divisional Level

Football Tournament on 15.10.2015.

GENERAL

On 15.10.2015 Scouts & Guides and band students were taken to Blind

School to attend Inaugural ceremony and Pilot project of “DREAM

KALAM” (100 hours non stop massive cleanliness and tree plantation

drive engaging million of students across Tamilnadu for 333 days)

Std IX & XI students were taken to Poonamallee Municipality to create

Dengu Awareness among the Public on 17.10.2015.

10 of our students along with the Principal walked from Merina

Beach to YMCA ground to see the distance & timing for Children’s

convention rally on 17.10.2015.

On 28.10.2015 representatives from Spell Bee international demonstrated the

programme during the Assembly for the classes from Std. III – VI. We issued the

pamphlets to the students. Interested students are enrolling their names for the

same.

CELEBRATION

Ayudha Pooja was celebrated in a simple manner in our school campus on 21.10.2015.

NEW ADMISSION

We got 19 admissions for PREKG and 2 admissions for LKG during

Vijayadhasami.

School opened for the new admissions students (Vijayadhasami) on 28.10.2015

(Wed).

FUTURE FOCUS

Fancy Dress for children‟s day competition will be held for LKG on 05.10.2015 &

for UKG on 06.10.2015.

We planned to conduct Science Expo on 05.11.2015 (Sat) for the classes from I-

IX & XI.

We are planning to celebrate the Children‟s day programme on 14.11.2015

IIBF Online exam will be conducted on 28.11.2015 for 60 candidates at our school

premises organised by Sify Technologies, Tidel Park . Taramani.
