Cosmic Studies are Finished.
• Ted has now finished all his Cosmic data taking.
• This includes first measurements of gain on all stacks at dV=475 (running simultaneously).
• Also includes 2nd measurements for outliers
Excellent!!!

Scintillation used to get Gain
• Fit to Gaussian + Exponential.• Gain from:
– Use ADC gain from manual (pC/channel)– 2000 e’s/mV from pre-Amp– Checks with Bob to ~10%

2000, 4000, 6000, 8000, 10000• The green box is the chain V.• Blue & Green are calculated (not measured).

How to get Gain Curves
• 3 “Gain-Slope” Determinations:– Vlad’s Cosmics = 0.0695– Tom’s 55Fe spectrum = 0.0624– Bob’s Scintillation Cube Measurement = 0.0672
• All yield same answers to w/in a few volts dV
